So all the Senators and Congressmen in the red states should vote “no.” How does this even have a chance in hell of passing?

“Geez...look at West Virginia...those people are going to get murdered.”

That’s OK, they have lots of money in Appalachia, and with that dangerous coal-mining work out of the question, they can design computers, or stock trading systems, or sell real estate to one another... </s>

When he was young, his mommy used to tie a pork chop around his neck to get the dog to play with him.

$1.2 BILLION in Texas alone!

There better not be one yes vote from the Texas delegation.

Is it just me, or is every Obama scheme designed to hurt/destroy Conservative leaning states/businesses?

"Well, manmade output of CO2 only accounts for about 0.117% of the total greenhouse gas effect - so I’d say we are pretty much there already."

You ARE including the "other" "greenhouse gas" in that calculation, aren't you, the one nobody talks about?
H2O, water vapor?

That's the biggie the global alarmists don't like to talk about because there's not a dam thing man can do about it.

Yes I am. If we don’t include water vapor, it is still only something like 4% or so. But, like you said - water vapor is the biggy.

I just learned something about “soot” - and how large of a factor that may be with regards to warming. And how, with a reduction in soot, the reduction in global warming effects would be pretty quick (on the order of months to a couple of years). Of course that would mean China and India would need to cut way back on their wood burning - doubt that will happen.

Although I think we are heading to global cooling - which will be much worse than global warming IMHO.

Man. Back in college I had a bumber sticker that said “Ban Mining. Let the Poor Bastards Freeze in the Dark.”

I knew we would be cold and dark, but didn’t realize just how poor we would be.
