Coulter: 'I Don't Think of It As a Murder'
Little Green Footballs ^ | June 22, 2009 | Little Green Footballs

Posted on 06/23/2009 6:02:57 PM PDT by RobinMasters

Even Bill O’Reilly (who has been pretty cold-blooded about the murder of Dr. George Tiller) seems a little taken aback when Ann Coulter says, “I don’t think of it as a murder ... I am personally opposed to shooting abortionists, but I don’t believe in imposing my morality on others.”

And: “If you don’t believe in shooting abortionists, don’t shoot an abortionist.” And: “That’s why liberals are so hysterical about this, because generally they’re on the pro-death side ... in this one case, they’re finally against someone dying, a man responsible for killing 60,000 babies.”

You’re correct. If Ann was a fat bald headed 65 year old, these folks would not be trying to tell you that she is being “sarcastic” and “humorous.”

So you think the people on FR don't care about ideas or unborn life but only whether Ann is good looking or not?

Is that what you are saying?

Go post your crap on DU and take a hike will ya.

Maybe I am missing your sarcsm but I don't think so.

Ah....heck with it. Take a hike anyway.

My apologies. In no way did I mean to offend you or your family members. My family is ultra-liberal too (all Obama voters) and don't approve of me for becoming a born-again Christian.

My comment was born out of some personal experience. I grew up among die-hard liberals in a very liberal city (San Francisco). It was cool to use drugs, and some did very hard drugs in their youth. Now this generation is in charge.

Care to answer any of the questions?

Any of them?

Any?

You have two different ideas going here. I'm sure that people on FR care about ideas and unborn life. I also think that Ann's looks have something to do with why they like her.

Oh no! No apology needed! I guess I didn’t communicate too well.

I understood what you meant, as I also know some liberals who are substance abusers - and all of them are slackers with no ambition except to vote for ultra lib dems.

They’re the former anti-establishment types, and they’re sort of humorous really if you can have a conversation with them without screaming. Freedom to them means they’re free to sit on the couch all day and still collect a check, and they don’t think anyone has a right to interfere with them doing so. They have no comprehension of what their parents accomplished through physical labor and sacrifice, nor do they care. They believe those of us who carry on the tradition of working for a living are suckers.

However, I also have many liberal family members who are stone sober. They also vote for ultra liberals and I can’t blame their brain disorder on drugs or alcohol, and they’re too old to have been hippies! That was the point I failed at making in my earlier post. Sorry for the confusion.

"You have two different ideas going here"

I have two ideas going here? Just trying to get clarification on why you posted these two ideas together.

Whittaker Chambers, Thomas Sowell, Milton Friedman, Ronald Reagan, F. A. Hayek and Magaret Thatcher are not attractive to me. Some are fat, some are balding, some are wrinkeled, etc but their ideas express what I think is right and wrong.

Ann Coulter and Sarah Palin also express ideas that I agree with. Both are attractive. But that is not why they are on FR. They are not the prettiest around.

Abortion is not attractive and I have ZERO (can I still use that word as a number?) interest in making it seem attractive. Ann does that also.

Want so see someone homely? Look at Whittaker Chambers.
Want to read a compelling work? Read Whitness by Whittaker Chambers.

Want to see a pretty face? Look at CZJ.
Want to read an UNcompelling work? Read her book (that I don't think exists).

I wouldn't kill an abortionist myself, but I wouldn't want to impose my moral values on others. No one is for shooting abortionists. But how will criminalizing men making difficult, often tragic, decisions be an effective means of achieving the goal of reducing the shootings of abortionists?

This is brilliant logic, and could potentially take back the language of the abortion debate back from the left.

You just described one of my first cousins to a T. She's a success at being a failure. I'll pray for your family, dear Heart, and you pray for mine!!!
