“...we have an emerging horizontal process to generate norms.” In other words, we get to decide what is right and wrong and then tell people that no one is permitted to disagree. That becomes the “norm.” Do yourself a favor and buy a gun TODAY. And lots of ammo, if possible. We will all need them.

We have knowledge, we have networks, we have an emerging horizontal process to generate norms. We now need those emerging norms to create an international framework, and then to internalize those norms into our domestic law, while at the same time applying supply-side solutions, and harmonizing our national approach with those of other countries.

A perfect example of an effete intellectual snob. Oh yeah, and a nabob of negativism too.

Japanese Admiral Yamamoto said that Japan would never seriously consider an invasion of the US because there was “a gun behind every blade of grass”. Sounds more like plus than a minus, don’t you think?

“create an international framework, and then to internalize those norms into our domestic law”

In other words, the president will sign a treaty to get around the Constitution.

Do they have any idea how they are playing with fire on this issue?

“president”... I am so damn sorry folks. Using that word in any reference to Obama was completely inadvertent. I sincerely apologize... I am sooo stupid.

It should have read, “ the worthless POS traitor in the White House will sign a treaty to get around the Constitution.”

Better watch out for those emerging norms and their horizontal processes. When bureaucrats talk in jargon like this they never have anything to say that is beneficial to anyone but themselves.

He need to watch what's happening to the unarmed citizenry of Iran.

“According to Koh, his parents

... grew up under Japanese colonial rule, forbidden to speak Korean or even to use their Korean names. When their country was divided after World War II, my mother and her family were trapped in North Korea.”

Hasn't learned a damn thing.

FROM L.A. TIMES:

. . .critics, worried that Koh might become an Obama pick for the Supreme Court, have taken issue with his support for international law, which they view as threatening to American sovereignty.

“He aims to use international bodies and treaties to deprive American citizens of their powers of representative government, and subject American government to rule by a transnational elite of leftist lawyers,” said Ed Whelan, president of the Ethics and Public Policy Center in Washington.

John Radsan, who was assistant CIA general counsel from 2002 to 2004, said Koh approached issues related to the handling of accused terrorists as “a pure civil libertarian. . .”

Put through the Liberal Speak Translator...

We need the UN to create a treaty whereby everyone agrees to disarm their public in the name of safety and world peace. We will use that law as cover to shut down our domestic Gun Manufacturers and gun shows thereby cutting off the supply of guns to citizens. We'll then look to examples of how other countries disarmed their population. Stalin comes to mind. Hitler maybe. Good role models for Obama.
