I've got angkor's back here. There are some posters around here who need to re-connect with simple human decency. Not everything is--or should be--fodder for snarky Internet jokes. Iran isn't. Neither is this. Perhaps if all you want to do is crack wise while people are dying, Fark.com might be a better site for you than Free Republic. Although I suspect there are many Farkers who will happily rip the new orifice some posters so richly deserve if they post the kind of callous "humor" that they're posting here on FR.
Cue the posters who will snippily tell me to "get a sense of humor." Meanwhile, I'll pray for the victims, their families, and their friends.

And quite frankly it makes no fun of any particular person. Certainly nobody involved in the crash. It is about political correctness and the fact liberals in general look at everything with an eye of scrutiny and trying to catch people (or in this case going the absurd length and seeing an inanimate object) doing something they think is wrong...

06/22/09 17:57 Metro reports that 2 train collided and one train is on top of the other train. Metro reports massive injuries at this time. The green line and the red line are affected. Further information to follow.

Metro has a pretty poor safety record, and I’ve read that a lot of automated safeguards on other commuter rails aren’t in place with Metro. Oh well, I use it to get to and from DCA and for drinking purposes.
Make that, this ISN’T about liberal or conservative. It’s about “simple human decency,” as the poster above put it.
