Obama’s economy ?
Hot Air ^ | June 21, 2009 | ED MORRISSEY

Barack Obama has managed to ride out his first five months in office by blaming his predecessor for the economic tribulations he “inherited”, but new polling shows that excuse running out of steam.

Although a majority still give George Bush more blame than Obama, those numbers have fallen quickly as Obama’s stimulus spending fails to stop runaway unemployment, according to Rasmussen:

While most U.S. voters still blame the Bush Administration for the nation’s economic problems, a growing number are inclined to blame President Barack Obama.

George Bush was blamed for everything starting at least on the 2nd day of office. I’m not letting this POS have any slack whatsoever and I remind people that he “owns” this trainwreck and that the Dems have owned it at least beginning in ‘06.

The Rookie made a rookie mistake in claiming Porkulus would slow the growth of unemployment. Now it's coming back to haunt him.

Although I wasn't polled, I'd count myself among the 21% of Blacks who doesn't trust Obama, especially regarding the mess with the Real Estate Market and the continuing layoffs, bankruptcies, and overall malaise.

But you can bet the MSM will continue to spin this as being "Bush's fault" well into 2012, when The Anointed One is up for reelection.

Yes this did happen on Bush's watch and he should have done some things differently, TARP springs to mind. That being said, when 0dumbo took office and did everything he could to aggravate our problems then it's time to stop blaming Bush and start saying to Zer0 and his czars. “Ok you got full power now, congress the White-house and soon the courts are yours. What are you doing to fix this mess!!!?” I mean enough with the Air Force One junkets, kowtowing to muzzie dictators, proposing to tax everything that isn't nailed down. DO SOMETHING TO HELP THE ECONOMY INSTEAD OF TRASHING US!!!!

For all his education I think Zer0 knew darn well porculus wouldn'd do $heite. The scary part is he is more interested in bringing the US down than in fixing the economy.

Exactly. George Bush can’t spend a dime of money without congressional approval. Too bad the numbnuts on the left can’t use their peabrains to figure it out.

Actually they will blame conservatives for being racist and stonewalling Obama’s agenda, even despite owning majorities in both houses.

When you inherit something as large as the United States of America, maybe you should be expected pay the Inheritance Tax.

I'm not so sure. It's interesting that just what Zero studied in his undergraduate program seems to be a closely guarded secret. I'm guessing it had nothing to do with history or economics.

Most lefties and State Run Media types stick stubbornly to the belief that tax cuts don't stimulate the economy but government spending does. Maybe we should call them "deniers" for denying the evidence in front of their eyes.

Barack campaigned for the job, so he should have known what problems he was going to face. If he can’t man up and say I asked for the job so I could fix the problems and actually do something that will address them, he can resign. He “won” the job and now the problems are his - no one esle’s. He is a naive unprincipled, inexperienced novice who is in way over his head or abilities. A sorry time for this once great country.

The Dems have controlled congress and the Senate for the past 2.5 years... The President can't legislate. The congress is responsible for the laws... All the President can do is lobby (and potentially veto)...

The fact that Bush gets so much blame is infuriating... It's even more despicable that he's spent the past 8 years turning the other cheek, and allowing the venemous lies to stick.

If I was promoted to a new Management job... and once I start I constantly bash the previous manager for everything that goes wrong... How long would I last in that role?

I've seen it too many times over the past forty years: when the affirmative action hire isn't able to do the job, he/she complains that things aren't fair and/or it is someone else's fault they cannot do the job; they seldom if ever admit the job is too much for them/their abilities.

Barry is an affirmative action figure-in-chief who demands to be loved while in the position he is hardly capable of handling effectively/affirmatively.

Affirmative action hire indeed.
One of the libtards favorite program’s chickens have come home to roost. A lot of the AA hires are promoted up to a point where they can do very little damage while showing the world that they are not racists. Lee P. Brown is a great example. He was a klintoon stooge, NYC police cheif, mayor of Houston, Texas and still never accomplished anything but get appointed to high profile jobs. Problem with mugabe wannabe, there is nowhere to promote him up. The libtards have brought to the United States their Frankenstein’s monster. They made him out of spare parts and he is now on the loose. Time for torches and pitchforks.

These polls actually dumb down the voters, along with 8 years of “blame Bush.” The fault really lies with congress.

The president no more controls the economy than a ship captain controls the tide.
