Dear XXXX,

I thank you for your efforts. However, being the first or maybe second (SeekingTheTruth in Florida possibly the first) FR street activist back in 1998, and having done more with other organizations after, I have learned some things over time:

1. FR activists helped to impeach Clinton; the Fedgov leviathan didn’t try him. That said a lot;
2. Being the Chairman, and then Secretary/Treasure of a however small Veterans’ organization (VetsCoR) had little impact, as we reached out to the American Legion, VFW, VietNam war orgs, et al; They simply didn’t want to hear our calls and continue with their Fraternal club stuff.
3. After developing a slide-show called, “With Love and Appreciation” had little affect, other than to make our troops feel good it had NO impact on the average Joe-six-pack;
4. Spending countless hours on the streets and waving flags before anyone even consider it, there was no change in DC.
5. Just recently the Tea Parties were out on the streets in the 10’s of thousands. Did you see a change in the Obama, Reid, Pelosi triad? No, you didn’t. They ignored the Tea Parties and have continued with their head-long rush into socialism.

Bottom line: Demonstrations are a waste of time and effort and resources. So what is left?

ORGANIZED CIVIL DISOBEDIENCE! Think liberal tactics and how they have been so successful throughout the decades. If you’re not willing to do the same sit-ins and chain yourself to the Capitol steps, and face arrest for a misdemeanor (minor fine), than you are failing your Constitution and Nation.

It’s time to rise up. Make a stand. Support Jeffersonian principles, and let these socialist in DC KNOW we WILL NOT stand for more Fedgov intrusion in our lives and industry.

Political parties are the past. Repubs are just a slightly lessor version of the liberal Democrat socialist world they so long for.

What has your vote done for you to restore your liberties? Think GM, AIG, un-confirmed CZARS et al, that the Obama, Reid, Pelosi are doing to our free-enterprise system.

You want to be subjegated or do you want freedom to make your own choices? It will be a very hard effort to return of such Constitutional principles.

Good people will lose their livihoods, others may die or be imprisoned. What is worth to you for your libety? Personally, I will give up all and work in a car-wash if I'm assured the the Fedgov will get the **** out of my life.

STATES RIGHTS!

I started my activism about 50 years ago, I've paid my dues.

What do you suggest, an armed invasion of DC? We have enough loose cannons already, thank you!!

“Without civil disobedience, nothing will change. Mark my words.”

Agreed, however...let’s clarify civil disobedience...that does not mean bombs, guns, and violence. It means shutting down the local city hall or federal building, shutting down the local tv station, picketing Chrysler and GM dealers, going to union offices and picketing...now there is an idea!

"In that respect they are working."

Really? Exactly what part of the Tea Partys have caused change? Did they or have they stopped the Obama,Reid,Pelosi socialist/progressive move? I don't see it.

Look, I'm a long time activist, but have come to realize that our incumbent political system is unworkable in accordance with our Constitution. As you probably know, the Founding Fathers never envisioned career politicians. The system is broken...I have the answers, but they would be difficult to implement.

The problem there is that we have scruples and morals

And jobs in the private sector where we're actually required to show up every day.

First, I apologize for my condescending remark. You are the exception to the political activist rule. Sorry. And I also paid my dues. I'm 59.

Secondly, NO, I am not advocating "an armed invasion of DC". I say again, I am not for violence.

However, I would support and join those in civil disobedience against those who don't honor their oath to the US Constitution. I will spend the night in jail and pay a small fine. Remember, it's work very well for the liberals through the years. Best.

Looks like I'll be siding with the sane people and "failing" the Constitution and nation.

One thing I’m doing is working to starve the beast. Every little thing I can do tax free, I’m doing.

The Tea parties themselves are encouraging others to stand. The upper middle class town full of white liberals down the road from me is having a tea party on the 4th. They’ve figured out that it isn’t about left or right, its about an out of control government. When I go over there I intend to look for more contacts to barter with over goods and services.

Of course not. I never ever meant to suggest such things.

That's fair. The rest of us at some time in the ever-growing socialist future will carry you as your Great Experiment slides into the abyss. Sit by, we'll do the hard-lifting for you while you watch the NFL or American Idol. That's what we do.

Well, It may help us feel good, but that is because we still believe in peaceful protests. Unlike the left who think rocking throwing and bomb setting is free speech.
But if people who represent us in DC refuses to listen, then TEA parties are a first step towards more aggressive actions. Conservatives have never been very good at protesting because we are too busy working, being with our families and going to church to be bothered. Now, since Obama got selected, we are slowly lurching to protesting, and the TEA parties were a good step. A protest without Goverment money, organized by ordinary people with out much experiance in do it and Democrats and Republicans getting together to protest was a great first time thing.

I have to agree. People voted for 0 for a number of reason, but mostly they can be categorized three ways:

  1. Those who voted for him because he was black
  2. Those who voted for him because they saw the rise of the totalitarian socialist state, destruction of the economy, and seizure of private enterprise as a good thing, and
  3. The terminally clueless who don'e even know what the issues are let alone understand them and let the MSM do their thinking for them
Well, he's still black, so the ones who voted for because of that are still happy with him.

Those losers who wanted to see the end of American enterprise have been rewarded beyond their wildest expectations, so they are ecstatic with him, and

The terminally clueless are still terminally clueless and accept the fecal matter that dribbles sonorously out of his mouth as the truth, so they're still happy.

The reverse is still true. 0 and his accomplices know that a little under half of the voters don't like him, and that half demonstrating bothers them not at all because it doesn't threaten his power.

The only way to put a damper on him is to kick out a significant number of Democraps in the next election of the Duma (wouldn't you like to see Pelosi have to work for a living?) or other more condign actions.

The Left's "nuclear freeze" movement in the 80s encompassed both the U.S. and Europe. Massive protests were staged when Reagan decided to deploy missiles in European countries to counter the USSR. I recall that protesters chained themselves to the fence of military bases in Britain and were subsequently carried away and arrested (sound familiar?).

The result: The missiles were deployed, the nuclear freeze movement mostly abated and sane people were proven right.

I understand and share your frustration, but I am concerned that what you advocate is exactly what Obama is intending to foment in order to declare martial law and suspend the Constitution.

Obama's goal is to destroy this Representative Republic and replace it with a Marxist Dictatorship with him as leader for life. We must tread carefully as we take back our country. We must regulate the State-Run Media to irrelevance.

My mindset is more in line with swampsniper. The Tea Parties are developing a communications network that bypasses the lame-brains and power-brokers of the RINO-RAT party.

There is a fourth reason for zer0’s election, that is the dogs, the dead, and the demented couldn’t object when “they” voted for him.

Other than voting, what condign recourse do we have?

I’d love to see the lot of them ridden out of town on a rail, tarred and feathered. But that’s a little too 19th century, I guess.

Your point is, and if it is I agree, demonstrations become effect only when they move out of the carnival stage into actual rioting. Before the final stage, everyone is just having a good time…carnival if you will.

What "Navy Vet" mentioned, yet we have to be ready for worse things. You'll notice that the constitutional protected right of assembly has already been classified by the mindless JBT's in 0's administration as "low level terrorism" I'm sure that there are governmental contingency plans for a final solution to the conservative problem.

You don't think that the word for word translation of the 1938 Nazi gun control law into the 1968 US gun control law is the only lesson that the government learned from the Nazis do you?

I understand your argument. However until the majority of conservatives feel they have nothing left to lose they will be unwilling to take actions that may result in loss of property or personal freedom. Think frog in pot of water on the stove.

Hopefully the Tea Parties with energize the population so we can elect a new government starting with local elections.

I think civil disobedience is a good place to start. But what actions are suggesting?

I don’t think we are at the stage where we need to start bombing buildings, bridges, etc.
But this day may get here sooner than many think. I encourage everyone to buy guns and ammo just in case.
