Calif. looks to immigrant inmates to save costs

With California slipping into a financial sinkhole, Gov. Arnold Schwarzenegger is proposing to save more than $180 million by cutting short the sentences of thousands of immigrants in the state's prisons and turning them over to federal authorities for deportation.

Now if they deport the illegals that are on the welfare rolls they may get somewhere!

It’s a small start but why stop there? STOP educating them. STOP providing them free medical care. STOP providing them welfare. What part of illegal don’t you understand?

Are the inmates doing some sort of productive manual labor to help offset their time behind bars? Will the feds actually see them back across the border and make sure they never come back? No.

This is incredibly stupid. What it does is set up a two tier system. American criminals who do the crime do the time. But illegal aliens who do the crime receive a “get out of jail free card”. Once deported all they need do is come back over the border. As we all know, there is not much to stop them from doing exactly that. Of course, Schwarzenegger hopes that they won't go back to California, but it doesn't bother him if they go to any of the other states.

First of all, we’ll see if this really happens and if they are really deported. And why don’t you deport them ALL, Ahnald? They are ALL here ILLEGALLY, whether they committed other crimes or not. Naturally I’m certain you would find numerous ways of putting Kalifornia back in the hole in no time, but getting rid of the illegals would give you a TON to purchase new voters!
