No charges have been filed against Larry Wilder, who is the Jeffersonville City Council's attorney. The council president said she'll call a special meeting next week to discuss Wilder's status with the city. Wilder said he was with friends for dinner and drinks in nearby Louisville, Ky., on Tuesday night but was driven home in a client's limousine and remembers little of what happened after that. A City Attorney in a garbage can? Sounds like just another day at the office to me.

Well we’ve all been there, I guess. Most of us stopped around 25 or 26 but we’ve all been there. Some of us are STILL there I guess.

Leave the guy alone. Has nothing to do with his job performance. Why should he be fired or disciplined for purely PRIVATE conduct???

Trash can? Was he hungry ?
Could have been much worse. Clean up and move on.

The council president said she'll call a special meeting next week to discuss Wilder's status with the city. The meetings are scheduled to last for several weeks, and then the city will call a contract bid for independent studies.
According to the council president, the completed study and recommendations will likely be submitted to the city by early 2012.

It’s rare that a man knows his own true worth; doubly so for a lawyer.

It is even rarer that a man know the value of a good lawyer, until he discovers that he needs one.

It's refreshing to see a lawyer who knows his place. Most think they're God and don't realize they're garbage. This lawyer's honesty is refreshing. I just hope he doesn't lower himself and strive to be a politician.

One attorney in a trash can? A good START, but I think there is still a LOT of work left to be done.

I’d say he should be fined for littering the public sidewalk.
