Walloping Walpin
American Spectator ^ | June 18, 2009 | The Prowler

House Republican staffers on the Committee on Oversight and Government Reform are mulling their next steps in investigating last week's firing of Gerald Walpin as Inspector General for the Corporation for National and Community Service and its AmeriCorps program.

On Tuesday, ranking member Darrell Issa sent a letter to White House Counsel Gregory Craig, demanding the release of all e-mail and other communications between the Department of Justice's Criminal Division and the U.S. Attorney's Office for the Eastern District of California regarding the dismissal of IG Walpin.

The U.S. Attorney connection arose from a 2008 Walpin investigation into allegations of misused taxpayer funds via AmeriCorps to the St. HOPE Academy of Sacramento, Calif., founded by Obama supporter and former NBA player -- now mayor of Sacramento -- Kevin Johnson. Walpin determined that Johnson's program misused almost $1 million in AmeriCorps funding, referred the case to the U.S. Attorney in Sacramento, but no criminal charges were filed. St. HOPE officials, however, settled the case, promising to repay half of its AmeriCorps grants.

But Republican aides want to step up the pressure on the firing, because, as one senior committee aide put it: "What's at stake isn't just one man's job: it's how $6 billion in taxpayer money is going to be used by this Administration on an agency with no independent oversight."

The aide is referring to the Corporation for National and Community Service's primary entity, AmeriCorps, set up in the 1990s by the Clinton Administration to increase public service among young people -- mostly college grads and young professionals -- largely via grant-making to a network of state and local community nonprofit groups.

Walpin-Gate.

Heavy handed, like when bagman Tony Reszko bought him a home.

Obama has a few moth holes in the moral fabric.

This has to be examined thoroughly.

May the God of Hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with Hope by the power of the Holy Spirit. Romans 15:13

If Kevin Johnson had even the slightest bit of dignity left, he would resign as mayor of Sacramento. Here is an athlete who was one of my favorite guards of all time who has let so many people down in so many ways not the least is the inner city Blacks he exploited. To find himself in the middle of a scandal that has forced Angry Michelle to fire an innocent man for being a whistleblower is unconscionable. This is like shooting the Sheepdog for killing a wolf. Then when you model your gummit after corrupt Mooselip Marxist regimes like Iran and Baathist Iraq, corruption needs free reign. We are now Iran.

KJ was one of my favorites when he played for Phoenix although I hated him when he played for Cal and always beat my Ducks. He played the game the way it was meant to be played having a great outside shot and amazing quickness. After he retired he became a mentor and started a number of charities in the Sacramento area. He started St Hope Academy for underprivileged kids in the area which helped fund schools.

His charities were later funded by Americore-rupt and his character flaws began to surface. He is a Democrat. He was using the $850K grant as his own little ACORN and it became his voter fraud vehicle. Gerald Walpin did his job in exposing KJ using the money as his own little fund to run for mayor, have the Americorps volunteers running errands for him and doing personal chores. KJ was completely busted and agreed to have St Hope to pay back half the money with $75K coming out of his own pocket. Since the academy is completely broke that money will never be recovered. After he became mayor, Walpin recommended that Sacramento not get any Porkulus money due to KJ’s fraud which is why he settled.

Turns out that KJ is a drop in the bucket since Walpin was able to identify nearly $8 Mil that has disappeared over the last 2 years and found that $75 Million was wasted and should be returned. He has found corruption throughout Americrap which will be the money laundry for the $4 Billion that will be going to ACORN. In addition to that Americorrupt will be the gummit org for the new Youth Corps that Premier Hussain will use as his forced Youth Brigade to get their HS/college degrees. This will be his youth army of voter fraudsters to guarantee DNC victories far into the future.

This is why Angry Michelle stepped in. She wants her Chief of Staff to be the head of the watchdog agency that Halprin works for. That way Michelle can control the elections from the WH by coordinating ACORN and her Americrap Youth Brownshirts w/o any oversight. The problem they had was that there was a junkyard dog biting her theives, so he had to be shot. This program is about to receive $4 Billion in Porkulu$$ and she needs to control that money to steal future elections. She told the Premier to fire Walpin and he did. Never mind that the President can’t hire or fire IGs so they can have independence, Premier obozo knows that he will not be challenged like Bush was. If this were a Republican President the Establishmedia would want to sell some snoozepapers exposing this corruption, but that would require ethics.

Michelle and obozo have to have their people in charge by the 2010 elections to assure the Bluedog Dems. Not only was KJ an important donor he has a structure in Sacramento that will be helpful to the regime. They are attempting to form a dictatorship in the model of a Mooselimb Marxist gummit. Just like Iran and their mirage of a free and open democracy, with the Americorps/Acorn army as well as the WH control of the census the elections will become a sham. Just like Ahmacrazynutjob, Premier Hussain will be able to manufacture any results he wishes. Obamerica will be just like Iran w/o the freedoms. The voter fraud will extend from the Census to phony registrations to the counting and that is why Gerald Walpin had to be fired. He was exposing their organizations massive corruption.

There will be no investigations into the firing of this civil servant who was taking his job seriously. Even though obozo said he wanted every $ accounted and called for anybody who found corruption to report it, he was as sincere as his transparency pledge and is only interested in becoming a Stalin. Only then does he think he can punish the wealthy and give their wealth to the non producers. Like Iran or Egypt most of us will be mired in poverty while the Inner Circle will all drive Mercedes. That is the beauty of Central Gummit when you are in it. This can only be accomplished if Americorrupt and ACORN are given free reign over the elections. Then there will be no way for Republicans to have any voice in his gummit let alone overthrow it by the democratic process. That will give him ultimate power and control.

We are in a fight for our lives right now. The wolf has his mouth locked onto our throats and he’s killing all the guard dogs. Until we/the GOP wake up to the fact that we are in a fight to the death we will never be able to get our Country back. We need to call attention to this obvious corruption and pressure KJ into resigning his office for his corruption. We need the GOP to grow a pair to pressure the Oblack regime and reinstate this servant who was simply being the watchdog he was hired to be. It should be refreshing to see a gummit employee taking his job seriously, rather he gets fired to hide future fraud and graft. We need to shine the light of day on this entire operation and expose it for the threat to our freedom that it is. If there is one common thread in the Premier’s regime it is the taking away of the very freedoms we have taken 250 yrs to acquire. Face it, ABDNC will never report the truth when it comes to their own Party, so we need to.

The Democrats are using our Bailout money to funnel into front organizations that promotes Democrats. It is an outrage and this is a huge coverup. These Billions are essential for the Democrats to maintain their lock on government.

Are they [Republicans] Mullahs?

Actually, they're more like Muslim women: powerless, afraid to speak out, clad in mournful black, almost invisible.

The bottom line is Republicans are afraid to speak out against a black president. When the rats were out of power it didn’t stop them from fighting against President Bush and the Republicans. The current crop of Republicans are cowards, plain and simple.

Wrong wrong wrong. What's at stake is whether you stand up against the administration's willful disregard for the law. Whether you are willing to enforce the law. A law that BO had a hand in cosponsoring, no less.

I would like to see a full investigation into this matter and the chips fall where they may. Walpin busted one of Odumbo bud’s and this is the thanks he gets for doing his job from the Totus.

The klowns that voted for the Keyan community organizer are reaping what they have sown.

I am hoping Odummie will get impeached and forced out of his illegally held office.

Our country is in a dire situation with this kenyan klown at the helm.
Respectfully,
NSNR

Bump for your post #3.

Where in hell is the GOP on this crucial issue? Why are Steele, McConnell, Boehner and anybody who can get to a microphone not causing a firestorm?

I've heard nary a peep, except for some half-hearted objections from Grassley and then nothing since.

This has been my complaint too. The RNC should come out against this. Where are the top Republicans? FOX News would give them airtime. The PA. county GOP heads should print a picture of the Black dudes with guns chanting anti white remarks and use it for elections! Never let a good crisis go to waste.

Right there with you. Where are the wimps that are at the top of minority party CALLING FOR AN INDEPENDENT PROBE INTO THIS SCANDAL CONDUCTED BY INDEPENDENT COUNCIL?!!!

Why are the Republicans so hand tied? How do they have no idea how to fight back? Why aren't they claiming that they are being railroaded and America's Goverment was specifically set up to protect the MINORITY!!!! How many times did WE hear that for the entirety of the Bush Presidency?

This could be fun to watch. I would not be terribly surprised if some of the Dems in Congress used this little incident to smack Zero down just a little. They don’t like being over-shadowed.

This reminds me of “Travel-gate”... only, it’s MORE obvious that it just about corruption, rather than cronyism. Hillary was just trying to get a hundred thou for a friend. Michelle want’s control of the FOUR BILLION!!

Those resources amount to more that $6 billion in funds, and those plans include turning AmeriCorps into a supersized, taxpayer-funded ACORN-like organization, focused on the Obama Administration's policy agenda, including health care reform, targeted stimulus spending, and possible work on the upcoming U.S. census in 2010. ............

........."You look at what the CNCS is funding over there: a 'Social Investment Fund,' which over the next five years is going to hand out almost a half a billion dollars to young people who start up community activist organizations," says a Senate Republican aide. "Who the hell is going to be monitoring that kind of underwriting? Michelle Obama's former chief of staff? Emanuel? I don't think so."

Now we're getting to the heart of the matter. They had to get rid of a whistleblower who might expose any spending irregularities.
