Outspoken Republican Representative Michele Bachmann says she's so worried that information from next year's national census will be abused that she will not fill out anything more than the number of people in her household.

She has already been targeted for elimination by the Libs and will no doubt draw concentrated fire again in 2010. The problem is, the Republicans have not yet learned that they will most assuredly hang separately if they do not hang together.
I fear she will be isolated without anyone in the party covering her back.

Palin/Bachmann... hmmm...
It’s early so I’m just kidding.
I agree with you, it’s time to start playing like a team, and getting rid of those who won’t.
Are your ears ringing John?

Yuppers. I spotted this on DIGG early this morning and was thinking of posting it myself, but we're getting pounded by severe thunderstorms. Tornados have been spotted. It's made for a VERY busy overnight at the station!
In any case she's becoming a hero to me as well. I've been wondering what to do about the census but now I'm just going to answer the number of people question.
IIRC the last time they didn't interview us directly, they left a form for us to fill out and I only answered the number of people. I'm not in jail...yet.

I didn’t even bother to return the dang thing last time.
That’s probably a 15 year in the hooscow offense by now.
Have you heard yet? Is there a czar overseeing the census?
LOL

Maybe because the GOP men lost their grapes. Another take on it, and it is weak, the boys of the GOP don’t want to argue with an half african american president of fear they may come of as racist so it is safer for a woman to question the 0 than themselves.

I fear she will be isolated without anyone in the party covering her back. That was already the case in the 2008 election. The RNC refused to support her re-election bid. I no longer support the RNC.

you mean you're not ready to storm the barricades for Michael Steele?Way back when I was in the Navy, a fellow sailor said: "If you're going to buy an American car you just figure out which company you want to get screwed by and buy theirs."
That's how it is now with political parties.

So very well put.
The problem is it is not just ourselves but our children and grandchildren who are being screwed and the villain is not a high handed auto company but a high grading Marxist.

I’ve been thinking about doing this for some time and routinely misrepresent myself when presented with a discriminatory question. Everyone needs to do this.

I agree. I want no part of anything the Federal Government runs anymore.I will crew them at every turn. We need to have protest on the scale of Iran. At least some there have the balls to take to the street. Unless we revolt in this country we are totally lost as a country.

LOL! I’ve heard cases of that happening- bureaucrat asks (caucasian) immigrant their race, immigrant was third or fourth generation born in Africa, and in all innocence answers ‘African’. Immigrant is bewildered by the hostile reaction...
I’ll bookmark the next one of those that I see.

For sure the women are showing great courage but so are many of the men. I love the work these people are doing in spite of great odds.
To: Pusterfuss
The RNC has to make choices. This is so easy for the arm-chair quarterbacks to sit there and say how it should be without having to make the tough decisions.
Bachman was in good shape and they felt the money that would go to her could be put to better use somewhere else. This in no way was a withdrawal of support for Bachman.
Bachman is in good shape. She's showing herself to be worthy of individual support and she's getting it. Write her out a check yourself if you're concerned about her not getting enough support. That's what we did.
