Harry Reid Vows Action on Comprehensive Immigration Bill That Includes Amnesty Wednesday, June 17, 2009 By Terence P. Jeffrey, Editor-in-Chief
(CNSNews.com) - Senate Majority Leader Harry Reid (D.-Nev.) vowed Monday that the Senate would consider a comprehensive immigration reform bill that would include giving amnesty to illegal aliensan item he referred to as bringing the 11 million people out of the shadows.
Reid said that Senate consideration of a massive new immigration bill would come after the Senate dealt with the health-care issue and energy.
The Senate is now looking at a national health-care plan being promoted by President Obama and legislation that would cap carbon emissions in the United States in the name of fighting climate change.
I know that I talked to the White House, recognizing they were going to have a meeting, and gave them my ideas as to what should be the lay of the land on immigration, Reid told reporters on Monday.
I said in this room last week that I've got to do health care, I've got to do energy, and then I'm looking very closely at doing immigration, Reid continued.
I think it's something that we have to do. It's important, Reid said. I've outlined to you on a number of different occasions what I think should be in the legislation. I think it's extremely important for our country. We have an immigration system that's broken and needs repair.

They’re still using the same tired rhetoric - “out of the shadows”,”comprhensive path”. Some shadow, Reid and his ilk want to put a La Raza operative on the SCOTUS.
10% unemployment headed toward 15 to 20%. Yeah we need amnesty alright. I think we can stop them.
As much as I hate it, I don’t know how REALISTICALLY that we can deport 20-30 million illegals AND keep them from coming back.
May an AMNESTY TAX. Tax them 25% for being here.
where did the 11 million number come from??
That’s how many were in one van.
He’s actually calling it ‘amnesty’? I didn’t think Harry was capable of being that honest.
“As much as I hate it, I dont know how REALISTICALLY that we can deport 20-30 million illegals AND keep them from coming back.

Easy One!! just make life here hell for them No Job,No free food,Housing and medical.
“May an AMNESTY TAX. Tax them 25% for being here.”
No, they will tax YOU to keep them here.
The majority of dem pols and a handfull of pubbie pols support amnesty while the vast majority of the citizenry are absolutely against amnesty.

The same way they got here — one at a time.
Enforce all immigration laws, execute Prop 187 and pass similar laws in all states.
With no jobs and no services, they will self-deport.
Whining “It’s too HARD*” plays into the hands of the amnesty-supporting lefties.
Why doesn’t he just take away all border patrol? It’s the same thing. The man needs to be replaced.
“Thats how many were in one van.”
LMAO figures.
They want it all and they want it now.
East Germany did a pretty fair job of keep its citizens *in* during its history.I think we could keep illegals *out* if we really wanted to.The problem is that *no* RAT office holders want to do so and far too many Republican office holders feel the same.
Where I think that we have a decent chance of running the health care reform off the rails, I’m not quite as hopeful with this. Although, I think that it’s curious Obama has said a peep about immigration reform. Maybe they want to continue to dangle that carrot in from of the Hispanics for one more election cycle.
yep, healthcare overhaul and shamesty, all tied together.
