When they insult us we are the ones who are supposed to just man up, bend over, and take it, and if we don't, we're the bad guys again because we don't have a sense of "humor".

I'm arguing that both sides should man up and take it with good humor if possible. Both sides should also refrain from insults. It's not a perfect world - they aren't playing by the rules but I believe we should.

I know it seems hard for me to push back on little things like this but I do so because I am worried as well. Minority parties are parties that change to acquire more votes. I don't want us changing in THAT way to acquire more votes. I didn't like it when they did it and I don't like it now that I see it starting to happen with us.

I would not have a problem with that if it were to work out that way. I would really like to see the other side make the first move. Too many times we've been played for a fool, the Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown thing. They say they're going to change, wait for us to play the gentleman, then whup us up side the head (remember how the ‘Rats double-crossed GHW Bush, or Clinton double-crossed the ‘Pubs in Congress on any number of issues). It's very hard, if possible at all, for me to trust ‘Rats at their word. I want to see action as well as hear words. If they make the first move, I'll hold the football still and play the game by the rules.

Advocating the Commission of a Crime, In the Rape of a Female,
of any Age is NOT Humor.

How would Dave feel if someone advocated the Rape or Murder of his Son?
