I would not have a problem with that if it were to work out that way. I would really like to see the other side make the first move. Too many times we've been played for a fool, the Lucy pulling the football away from Charlie Brown thing. They say they're going to change, wait for us to play the gentleman, then whup us up side the head (remember how the ‘Rats double-crossed GHW Bush, or Clinton double-crossed the ‘Pubs in Congress on any number of issues). It's very hard, if possible at all, for me to trust ‘Rats at their word. I want to see action as well as hear words. If they make the first move, I'll hold the football still and play the game by the rules.

I just don’t see myself waiting for somebody else to make the first move before I do what I feel is the right thing to do. The right thing to do is the right thing to do without regard to whether or not other people are doing it.
