ABC You Later
American Thinker ^ | June 17, 2009 | J.C. Arenas

With their decision to broadcast a primetime special that will highlight the Democrats' relentless pursuit towards government-ran health care and exclude the views of those whom oppose their effort, ABC has signaled they no longer believe in the concept of press independence and the public's right to choose.

Once upon a time the press wasn't simply an advocate for a particular brand of politics, it was their responsibility to be a watchdog of our government and report the facts and subsequently the general public could weigh those facts and form some sort of opinion.

Can’t remember the last time I watched ABC. I would like to see their list of sponsors though.

All networks have lost all their shame. They are in full BJ mode.

I wonder how much Stephanapoulos has to do with this, he is very good friends with Rahm.

Once upon a time, before electronic media, there were media that supported one particular political party or another. It wasn’t until the Democratic party became a political force that the concept of impartiality in the press came into play (naturally slanted to the Democrats’ favor).

The problem isn’t impartiality or the lack of it. Impartiality is as subjective as defining “right” or “left”. The problem is balance. Mainstream news lacks it; they’ve been successful in redefining the political center far to the left.

I don’t demand fair and balanced. I demand fair and conservative. Where can I get that?

Since regular Network programming went digital, their audience has fallen to about half of what they had before. Of which, they knew good and well would happen. Which in turn, explains why they held off the transformation until after they got Obama elected.

Their audience is nothing more than brain dead liberal zombies and total viewership, amounts to about 1/10th of Fox's hourly ratings.

It will be more of something to laugh about as they drool all over each other, scrambling for a position at the Emperor's feet.

Most on FR have recognized that the MSM is nothing but liberal propaganda and an agent of the Socialist Democratic Party. Now even the brain dead liberal zombies that watch ABC can begin to see how rotten the MSM is. Maybe MSM now stands for Managed State Media.

We haven’t watched this network for years, now we won’t watch it for the rest of our lives. It has been removed from our personal channel list so it never gets tuned to by accident. What a joke this network and the current United States Administration is. Tyrants I will not surrender to.

Pure agitprop info-tainment.

My money says that in the first 5 minutes they’ll haul out the cute kids, puppy and Michelle (in a colorful, age-inappropriate outfit) and then tease the viewers with a promise that they’ll be back later in the “show.” They know that’s the only way to hold their audience.
