...where is the crime? If both parties know the $1 coin is worth $200, then the IRS is right and the parties are guilty of tax evasion. What if the payment was made with a piece of antique furniture with $200 but bearing a $1 price tag? Pretty clear in that case.
But, since the coin is legal tender, the situation is not so clear. I would like to hear a legal opinion on that.
I like the idea of reporting my income on the basis of the real value of the fiat currency. Also, I would like to know where to get some of those gold coins at face value.

The Fair Tax Act(HR25/S296) that will replace all federal income taxes
That is idiots folly. The government will never eliminate the right to take money from your paycheck before you even see it.

Congress critters will eventually be forced to change their attitude as the Fair Tax grassroots effort continues to grow along with the associated pressure exerted by Fair Tax supporters on their politicians. The number of cosponsors has increased since The Fair Tax Act was first introduced to Congress in 1999. The 76 cosponsors in the last session of Congress is evidence the pressure is growing.

What we will see is a new sales tax (with an ever increasing percentage rate) and an income tax (with an ever increasing tax rate. The government will not end up with less. Mark my reply.

Abolish the IRS. Repeal the 16th Amendment.
The Constitution already has taxation of Corporations in it. Private Individuals are not supposed to be continually taxed. Precedent is to tax ONLY in times of war.
And Congress isn’t supposed to be a life-time job, either. Repeal the 17th Amendment and return to selecting Senators as the Founding Fathers wanted. Article 1, Section 3 of the US Constitution.

he he he cheating - or making mistake on income tax can deprive private citizens of liberty and property via mandatory individual filing.
The nrst ain’t got no steenkin’ individual filing. Individuals won’t be liable for errors. Errors won’t be near as common either! Like today, ask 10 different experts the same tax question and get 10 different answers. Under the nrst, ask 10 different 3rd graders “what is 23% of $xxx” and you’ll get the same answer 10 times.
Cheating will occur in every tax system. Fortunately, the nrst makes it harder to cheat and easier to get caught... one reason illegals and current tax cheats oppose the nrst :)

Then why are they not concerned about their jobs at the present time????? Because at the present time, the structure of the tax code entrenches them. That needs to change.

Even in the "Fair tax" dream land there has to be a federal agency that will enforce the payment of the tax. Even if you think you can dump the IRS there will be another agency just like it. And they will still go after individuals who collect the tax.
