I just saw it for the first time today, but it seems that
Free Republic has a “following” and it lists all the current
threads. It was cool to see the Canteen as part of that.

Aloha, Hawaii....I really don’t know. I went to bed about 0100 and it was fine, I think. I tried getting on about 0645, was greeted by the front page, but any attempt to go anywhere else was greeted by the white page. I tried a couple more times, but then had to leave for work. My next attempt was about 0830 and all was well.
I haven’t had time to peruse the sidebar to see if there was some explanation/determination about what went wrong.
