New York Anti-Letterman Rally Draws Dozens
The Village Voice ^ | June 16, 2009 | Roy Edroso

We dropped by that Fire David Letterman protest across the street from the Ed Sullivan Theater. The Daily News says there were about 50 people there, but we put it closer to 100 if you include the rubberneckers. Indeed, there were about four or five times as many protesters as reporters and cameramen, who competed for pearls of wisdom or lunacy from the crowd. "I have a conservative blog!" one nice young man in a button-down shirt offered. "Women are being debased, Christians are being degraded! Anything's funny now!"

This is about the puzzled reaction I would expect from a NY pub which on the same page as this story has a link to a slideshow with scenes of contestants at the NYC Air Sex Championships (???) to see who will represent that great city as the best person at, and I’m quoting here, “dry humping”.

It’s no wonder they don’t understand Sarah and her supporters.

Well...it could have been better but what the heck.

FWIW I'm very worried about the July 4th Tea Parties. Tax day we had a VERY good turnout in Pittsburgh, so much so that the venue was overflowing.

Now they've switched to a bigger area and I'm afraid the passion isn't there to draw the same kind of crowd. The new venue isn't as easy to get to either IMO but I haven't been past there for a few years because of construction. It's ALWAYS construction season in Pittsburgh!

THe Tax Day Tea Parties got little media coverage. If the July 4th ones aren't as well attended the MSM will be all over it!
