Palestinian sources reported Tuesday that former US president Jimmy Carter was the target of a thwarted assassination attempt, according to Israel Radio.
Reportedly, there was a cluster of explosive devices stashed near a road he was scheduled to travel during a visit to the Gaza Strip.
Surrrrre they did. So they found a roadside bomb in the GAZA during a security sweep? Well thats clear PROOF they were after Carter their best friend!
There’s no other explanation for artillery shells wired up in Gaza. Its not like there was a war there or anything.
What an enormous ego Carter has.
That’s too funny. Thanks.
Thanks and tip of the hat to Van Morrison
Well my BAMA told me there’ll be days like this
When you don’t need to worry there’ll be days like this
When no one’s in a hurry there’ll be days like this
When you don’t get betrayed by that old Judas kiss
Oh my BAMA told me there’ll be days like this
Hamas plants bomb. Hamas ‘discovers’ bomb. Hamas plants story for benefit of Jew hater and Hamas friend and ally, Jimmy Carter.
God knows what we’re both thinking, but I think he might be finding it amusing.
Day late, dollar short comes to mind.
“Hamas said it foiled an attempt by Palestinian terrorists to assassinate former US president Jimmy Carter during his visit to the Gaza Strip on Tuesday, Palestinian sources told news agencies.
Israeli security sources said that the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) had learned of plans to target Carter and had passed on the information to the former president's security detail in “real time.”
According to Palestinian sources, terrorists linked with al Qaida hid a number of improved explosive devices along a road that Carter's convoy was scheduled to travel on inside Gaza. Hamas forces reportedly uncovered the IEDs and destroyed them.”

So, it sounds like the Jimmuh has the Shin Bet fellows to thank. Not that he ever would.
PLEASE, do NOT make a Martyr of Carter. We are better off with him kicking the bucket in old age and obscurity.
Carter and the Democrats are enemies of Israel. Hamas no doubt planted the “bomb” so they could accuse Israel of doing it.
I used to think Carter was the dumbest president we’ve ever had, but he now has some stiff competition. Could be a toss-up.
Hey, how did you do that?!
Professionals will build according to specification. If a shingle calls for two roofing nails, that's all they will get. The HFH amateurs, unable to place the shingles exactly right will pound in three or even four nails-- not uniform and not efficient with material, but better able to withstand the next storm for which the specification was insufficient.
Fox just reported this dufus just asked that Hamas be removed from the terrorists list.
As much as I hate and despise Jimmuh, I would not want him to be assassinated.
"RESIDENTS of a model housing estate bankrolled by Hollywood celebrities and hand-built by Jimmy Carter, the former US president, are complaining that it is falling apart. Fairway Oaks was built on northern Florida wasteland by 10,000 volunteers, including Carter, in a record 17-day blitz organised by the charity Habitat for Humanity."
Yep, they need to take him up on a platform in front of the crowd and openly declare that, "This is the man who almost single handedly brought you the Mullah rule. A close friend of the Former ruler Komeni(sp?) and a lover of Imanutjob! Give him a big hand!". Think they would welcome him with open arms?
I don’t think it was a real attempt. If Hamas found the bomb then they probably planted it in order to “save” Carter so they could point a finger at Israel. You have to know how facists minds work.
How irrelevant is Jimmy Carter?
Why won’t he just go away?
Does he truly think he, alone, can bring peace to the middle east?
And he actually thinks that Hamas should be taken off the “terrorist” list?
All rhetorical questions of course....
Why would Hamas want to kill their best friend?
