And the Drive By’s try to supress full coverage of the protests, because it might reflect negatively on Zero’s capabilities to enact “change” you can believe in...
ping for lists
CNN tried hard yesterday to make up for its lack of coverage on Saturday- in fact they had a two hour “special live coverage” from 10-12 last night...kind of like bribery!
This from the BBC:

BBC audiences in Iran, the Middle East and Europe may be experiencing disruption to their BBC TV or radio services today. That is because there is heavy electronic jamming of one of the satellites the BBC uses in the Middle East to broadcast the BBC Persian TV signal to Iran.
Satellite technicians have traced that interference and it is coming from Iran. There has been intermittent interference from Iran since Friday, but this is the heaviest yet.
It seems to be part of a pattern of behaviour by the Iranian authorities to limit the reporting of the aftermath of the disputed election. In Tehran, John Simpson and his cameraman were briefly arrested after they had filmed the material for this piece. And at least one news agency in Tehran has come under pressure not to distribute internationally any pictures it might have of demonstrations on the streets in Iran.

Thanks for the ping.
At this point, I am guessing that this is going to be quashed by the mullahs, but I hope I am wrong.
Wow..Fox showing opposition rally right now! Millions of people!
I tend to agree- however- last night I read a long piece (wish I had even a vague memory of where) by someone well-versed in Iranian ways. He said it’s not JUST about the protests we’re seeing- it’s also within the government itself- the mullahs aren’t in agreement about this and there may be splintering going on.
I don’t think Moussavi is necessarily better for the West than MadMood- but it’s a start.
FOX showing now live- HUGE, HUGE crowds in the streets.
Government says the “consequences of the demonstrations are the responsibility of Moussavi and others”...

BBC News reporting opposition has called off the demonstration rally scheduled for 4pm in Iran. Reports indicate that Iranian police and troops have been given orders to use LIVE FIRE to put down the protests. This appears to mean firing on large crowds a la’ Tiananmen square style.
Maybe they’re in a “quagmire” at the moment. There are still some foreign journalists on the ground- and plenty of twittering. Visas run out for the press in a day or two so they may be waiting til no one outside can report.
Very tense.
1) Khamenei swinging from a rope underneath Freedom Arch.
2) The little Holocaust-denying creep whose name I can't spell, flogged mercilessly in public and then executed.
3) The Revolutionary Council stripped of their robes and paraded naked through Tehran.
4) Disintegration of the Islamic Republic and mass conversions to Christianity.
