Louis Caldera, the former White House Military Office chief who quit last month after approving that bizarre Air Force One photo op over Manhattan that frightened countless New Yorkers, has landed a job. He'll be a senior fellow focusing on higher education and national security matters at the Center for American Progress, run by John Podesta, a co-chairman of Obama's transition team.
Obama aides said at the time that the president was furious about the April 27 flyover, which included an Air Force One understudy and two F-16 military fighter aircraft flying over the Statue of Liberty and Lower Manhattan, not all that far from the site of the World Trade Center. The photo shoot, which cost up to $357,000, sent panicked New Yorkers into the streets thinking another attack was occurring.

I bet he got a raise too!
I’m curious, what does 0 look like when he is furious?
The Obamafuhrer really metes out some brutal punishments for “infuriating” him, doesn’t he?
Furious? He denied knowing about it days after it occurred.
Liar.
scapegoat. I still think 0 wanted to prove to himself he was prezzident.
Clinton crony Vernon Jordan got Monica Lewinsky a job at Revlon.
Liar.
Gerald Walpin, the Inspector General who has responsibility for the AmeriCorps program gets fired for doing the right thing to one of Obama’s cronies.
But, if you take the fall for Obama you get a nice new job for one of Obama’s friends.
The crook in the WH makes Nixon look like a school boy.
Wow. A new job in 4 weeks and it takes the average American 8 weeks. That is very unfair. Although if his experience matches the job qualifications fine, but still...
Okay. He "approved" the flight. Who requested it?
Caldera, the son of Mexican immigrants, Soledad and Benjamin Caldera
Caldera resigned to begin serving as managing director and chief operating officer for President Bill Clinton's Corporation for National and Community Service (1997-1998), a domestic volunteer program.
Caldera became the 18th president of the University of New Mexico in August 2003 and stepped down from that post in January 2006. Caldera's contract with the University granted him appointment as a tenured member of the University of New Mexico School of Law faculty.
Caldera served on the board of directors of IndyMac Bank from 2002 until its failure and subsequent seizure by the government in July 2008.
Caldera served on the board of directors for Southwest Airlines until he submitted his resignation, effective January 15, 2009, in connection with his selection to serve as Director of the White House Military Office On May 22, 1998, Clinton announced Caldera as his selection for Secretary of the Army. On July 2, 1998, Caldera was sworn in as the 17th Secretary of the Army by Secretary of Defense William Cohen.
What I am amazed (not really) is he never knows what is going on with those who are supposed to be under his supervision and jurisdiction - and - that he plays dumb (not really) until it becomes an issue then he puts his foot down (not really) and then deals directly with the issue (not really).
The payoff for Caldera keeping his mouth shut and taking the fall for the photo op.
Who requested it? Maybe it was a Wish of the Day he granted to some ACORN pals with a sick sense of humor? It is bizarre. No former president has had AF1 buzz any city.
Edjamkation hack.
Good place for someone totally useless that want’s to make a good living.
Sometimes its very profitable to be the fall guy.
