The Eyes Of The Iraqi People Will Be Filled With Joy When Foreigners Withdrawing From The Cities
Badr Newspaper - Iraq (Translated) ^ | 13 JUN 2009 | Not Given

The Friday Prayer Imams agreed on the importance of the Iraqi Security Forces (ISF) after the American forces withdraw from the cities. At the same time, they condemned a number of media outlets for doubting the ISF’s capabilities.

The Friday Prayer Imams demanded that a national holiday be declared on the day that the US is scheduled to withdraw from the cities - which coincides with the anniversary of the 1920 Revolt.

The Friday Prayer Imam at Holy Najaf - his Eminence Sayid Sadr Al Din Al Qubanchi - called for the Minister of Interior, the Minister of Defense, and the Prime Minister to take serious actions to cleanse the MOD and the MOI of Ba’athists.

During Friday Prayers held in the Grand Fatimiya Husseinya in Najaf, Al Qubanchi supported purging the Ministries saying, “We support those who believe that this purge is necessary. We call for the MOI and the MOD to be more serious in cleansing their Ministries of dangerous Ba’athist elements. Why are a number of Ba’athists protecting high ranking MOI and MOD officials?”

His Eminence also discussed DeBa’athification and the Inquiry and Justice Law, referring to them as ‘hot’ issues on the Parliament agenda. He pointed out that the Parliament DeBa’athification Board is no longer active; the Inquiry and Justice Law will have jurisdiction of these matters.

Al Qubanchi added, “We have been waiting for more than a year and a half for the Inquiry and Justice Committee for be formed, but nothing has happened. This is a serious problem because we can no longer monitor the movement of the Ba’athists. I demand that the Parliament, the Presidency Board, and all other officials implement the Inquiry and Justice Law.”

The Najaf Friday Prayer Imam emphasized that the people must cooperate with the ISF, and at the same time he praised their efforts in creating security in the country.

As for the government’s position regarding the release of detainees, Al Qubanchi said, “We are for the release of innocent people. There is no place in the World where prisoners are released en masse. The American forces announced that they will release all prisoners from Bucca prison in accordance with the security agreement. However, these prisoners were not handed over to the security forces for investigation.”

In other news, the Friday Prayer Imam at Buratha Mosque - His Eminence Sayid Jalal Al Din Al Saghier - said, “The eyes of the Iraqi people will be filled with joy when they see the American Forces withdrawing from cities in accordance with the security agreement. The withdrawal date will coincide with the anniversary of the 1920 Revolt. It was our plan from the beginning to ensure the US Forces were out of the cities by June 31st. The Arab media never mentions this grand achievement, and those behind it. However, they cheer for the terrorists that kill the Iraqi people and the ISF.

I am sure that they will never mention this achievement. Since 2003, the Mihrab Martyr planned to use political resistance as the path to liberation. It was impossible to put the Iraqi people into the grinder once again, especially after they barely escaped with their skin after two wars. The path of taking up arms and confrontation is an easy path… anyone with guts and a gun can do this. However, political resistance is the most difficult path because many will oppose this point of view. Only politicians who are able to look ahead to the future know its result.

In 2003, a discussion was held in Sayid Al Hakim’s office between a number of Iraqi CPA members regarding how remove Iraq from its current situation. At that time, we decided to first end the American occupation. We pointed out that regaining Iraqi sovereignty is the best option because then we could ask the foreign forces to leave Iraq. This issue discussed by the CPA after numerous talks with the Supreme Religious Authority Sayid Ali Husseini Al Sistani. Bremer was completely against the idea.

However, three days later, we received information that the Bush Administration had agreed on this issue. After this, we focused on security because everything was connected to security. There would be no reconstruction, no national unity, and no Parliament without security. As you all recall, security was influenced by domestic and outside sources. Back then, the domestic sources were attempting to cause civil wars inside Iraq. These people will not abandon their plans. Even if the foreign forces leave, they will always be against the will of the people.

Some of these people joined the political process only to sabotage it from the inside. As for the outside sources, most of them were against the political process Iraq, and some of them are still in that position… such as Saudi Arabia and others. In best case, they will only voice their concerns about the political process in Iraq.

We had to tackle the security issue in two stages, establishing the security forces and kicking the terrorists out of Iraq. As for the establishment of security, we admit that there are some infiltrators in the security forces. However, this has not affected their overall performance. Now, thankfully, not a single Iraqi city is under terrorist control.”

Al Saghier also said, “It is difficult to make decisions under democracy, there are many different points of view. A single individual who only needed to gesture or blink and everyone would carry out his wishes no longer exists. The Iraqis will face many responsibilities after the withdrawal of the foreign forces. Citizens must assist the ISF.”

Al Saghier continued, “Lastly, I call for the Iraqi government to declare June 31st of every year a national holiday. On that day, Iraq will receive its complete sovereignty with the withdrawal of the American forces from the cities. I also warn you all that terrorism will not give up easily and it will attempt to strike after the withdrawal of the foreign forces. We have to work on maintaining our unity… because united we can achieve all other goals in the future.”

Pay particular attention to what is going on in Najaf - its the holy center for the Shia (or what is termed as the new power in Iraq). But just north of Najaf, is Karbala, a stronghold for "foreign presence" that wants to get a shade closer to Israel...

If you haven't been following whats going on over there in this southern sector of Iraq - it has a lot to do with what goes on in Baghdad. Everything comes from here and travels north into the capitol city for now. Najaf even has it's own international airport now - but I wonder who's running it???

Looks like Iraq's June is longer than ours.

Yeap - did you also see this line...

“The withdrawal date will coincide with the anniversary of the 1920 Revolt.”

This is when British Forces were expelled - or the start of it...they were seen as occupiers as well for liberating the dirt worshipers into the modern world...

It’s nice that they use these dates to stir the people towards destruction - because that’s were it is heading...

Within a year of allied troops leaving Iraq, the country will be back to where it was before the war with one exception.....instead of a strong man like Hussein in control, the imams will be running the show with a figurehead puppet prime minister or president out in front.

Note who's doing a lot of talking and ordering around in the article above.

It will be just what we see in Iran where the ayatollahs run things with thugs like Imanutjob as their front man.

The masses in the Middle East are mainly lemming-like, suicidal, masochistic and self-flagellators.

“Then, they can set up a new version of Saddam, and get back to business as usual”

This was my first thought as well. It’s up to us to influence who that dictator is and to make sure he’e pro-American. Undoubtedly he’ll be a strong man who will brutally destroy his political opposition with secret police, executions and torture. We need to wake up and admit that few nations can function as democracies. Even our own is slipping away.

Correct you are — the only thing I can take away from all that is that I never lost a guy on my watch - everything else we tried to do over there was a complete waste!
