A source from the Ministry of Interior said that the real results were 42 million votes for Mousavi, and only 5.6 million for Ahmadinejad. Iran's Militant Clerics Society has called for the vote to be annulled and a new election held.

>>What’s the difference between an American voter and an Iranian one?
The Iranian voter recognizes a rigged election.<<

The difference is that in Iran they will do something and probably get results.

We get phallus and eggs, and they ran out of eggs in the last election.

More on the media coverage. From Iran Clamps Down On Protests, Press

......"Mackell says the crackdown on protests has also extended to journalists, making it almost impossible for the media to cover the story. "I saw yesterday a Japanese camera crew who have full government permission and were working with an approved government translator, still were beaten and arrested by the police for filming at a protest. That kind of thing is happening to a lot of people. Journalists are having their cameras taken.

"There's been a decision not to extend any press visas. None of the foreign press are going to have their visas extended. And because the visas are only given out for a week to ten days to start with, that means very shortly all of the foreign press will be gone, except for those who have bureaus here.

"I wouldn't say the police have been showing restraint, they're been really going hard after the protestors, but after the foreign press goes, who knows what will happen."...............

...anti-Ahmadinejad protesters were not true Iranians. “They belong to the West. They belong to Bush. We are anti-Bush.”

The quote I posted was from the same source you posted.

And yes, I know how they use the other expression.

And some Americans wish they could exercise their 2nd amendment guarantee! In NY, the guarantee ran out.

Aren't Achmenijad and Mousavi two sides of the same coin? Didn't they both pass the mullahs muster for candidates? I have a theory. This is a sham. The mullahs will "yield" to popular will and revote. Mousavi will be elected and do exactly what the mullahs desire.

About 70 years ago there was a great Hollywood movie, The Great McGinty with Brian Donlevy and AkimTamiroff. Tamiroff played a political boss and Donlevy his protege. Tamiroff suggests that Donlevy run for mayor on the reform ticket. Donlevy asks how can he do that and Tamiroff responds, "Who do you think runs the Reformers? I do!" Same thing here. The voters and protesters are the dupes.

I'm talking about the hostages taken in Tehran in 1979. The nut job is in pictures with the bound and blindfolded hostages.

Rafsanjani tried to help with the American hostages taken in Lebanon.

It is kind of a code. It's planned for them to go to their roofs and yell Allaho Akbar. This way they aren't in trouble for yelling things too bad and they can get an idea of how many are with them. It's my understanding they want to do this before they decide on how far to go. They want to make sure there are enough of them.

You said — I’m talking about the hostages taken in Tehran in 1979.

And likewise for me, as far as Rafsanjani is concerned, too.... (he was also involved).

I know he was good friends with the evil khomeni but I don’t think he had hands on dealings with the hostages.

Well, he was Speaker of the House and was involved with those “students” (doncha know...) who were there, on-site, for the duration of the hostage-taking.

I don’t think he pushed any Americans around, but he was involved in the actual event itself. At least that’s what I’ve heard before... (along with “Ima-nut-job”...).

Oh this is interesting! A report that some Sufas?, about 4-5, of them have taken off from Israel with more being readied. Wonder exactly what that’s about?

And tankers have taken off.

Of course, this could just be someone pulling people's legs.
