When we last left the negotiations between Chrysler’s senior bondholders and Barack Obama’s auto task force, Thomas Lauria and his clients alleged that the government used intimidation tactics and threatened to sic the White House press corps on individuals if they didn’t give up their rights to allow the unions to win in the bankruptcy. Congress took an interest in this”madman” theory of the Presidency and got access to some e-mails floating between the task force and an analyst. Rep, Steven LaTourette (R-OH) reads from the e-mails, in which the auto task force calls Lauria — their attorney — a “terrorist” and refuses to negotiate after a Chrylser expert consulted him:
Ms Underestimated writes: The important part comes at the end: an email exchange between Matthew Feldman, attorney on the President’s Auto Task Force, and Robert Manzo, Chrysler restructuring expert. Manzo is basically pleading to further negotiate to prevent bankruptcy, but Feldman is having none of it. Here is the exchange: Robert Manzo, Chrysler restructuring expert: “I hope you think it’s worth giving this one more shot.” Matthew Feldman, attorney on the President’s Auto Task Force: “I’m now not talking to you. You went where you shouldn’t.” Manzo: “Sorry. I didnt’ mean to say the wrong thing and I obviously did. I was trying oto make sure that if we had to contribute to the solution you knew we had some room. Sorry I did not realize the mistake!!” Feldman: “It’s over. The President doesn’t negotiate second rounds. We’ve given and lent billions of dollars so your team could manage this properly….And now you’re telling me to bend over to a terrorist like Lauria? That’s B.S.”

Not my point. I wasn’t discussing whether people are going to rise up now, I stated “MUST RISE UP”.
The negativism in your post reminds me of the Liberal in the sitcom throwing her arms into the air and screaming “I give up” when confronted by total insanity.
There are options such as not giving up. That is the option I will persue.
I’d like to think that we still have a chance to undo the damage that’s been done, but unfortunately, it’s still being done and I believe it will be in the category of devastating to our country. It’s true that revolution comes from the minority. But what point of devastatuib abd destruction does it have to get to for this revolution to finally begin? There IS such a thing as waiting till it’s too late...and since timing is everything, I’m sticking to my doom & gloom stance. I think the time to fight has come and gone. I think the country will just continue to sit by while we are destroyed from the KNOWN enemies within.
We have no real leadership, other than Sarah Palin. If that’s not a sad and pathetic indication of how far we’ve fallen, I don’t know what is. One woman, one conservative in the whole damned country that shows guts, balls and honesty. I’m feeling pretty sick these days.

Show me a leader that will lead us towards fighting this heinous Marxist takeover and I will follow. I never give up, but since there IS no such leader, my observation stands. How long do we sit around and wait while the country is taken over and destroyed from within? Until several cities are nuked? Until radical Islam launches an all-out assault against us, enabled by their new Muslim President of the USA? What the hell are we waiting for, if not that?
Hell no I’m not giving up. I’m just damned mad and frustrated that we’re just letting it all happen while we pontificate daily about what’s happening and do NOTHING ELSE.

It makes me sick to read the email above with the groveling going on....I wish that Attn Manzo, the restructing attorney had told that PIG with his snout in the government trough to go take a flying leap and stuff the 'No second negotiation' crap up his great big you know what, and then to do the same for his blue lipped boss.

I agree with you 100%. The problem is however, that all the old ways of resolving problems don’t exist anymore. Everyone is assuming that we will go to the polls in 2010 and vote these b*****ds out. That won’t happen. Under the present regime, our votes won’t count. So I ask you, what do you suggest we do?

Keep the faith and be prepared. Gather names and addresses of Obama supporters so you know who they are when the manure hits the fan. Half of eastern Canada is populated by folks who didn't quite get it the last time...
