Is the Media Blind to Huge Traditional Marriage Rallies?

Traditional marriage supporters gather in Albany New York to protest same-sex "marriage."

Thousands gathered on the east steps of the New York State Capitol building in Albany on Tuesday morning to defend the traditional marriage and oppose measures seeking to legalize same-sex “marriage” in the Empire State. The “Stand for Marriage” rally, organized by New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, attracted throngs of New Yorkers who, instead of remaining silent, are determined and committed more than ever to uphold God’s marriage.

A similar rally held last month in Midtown, Manhattan, drew an estimated 20,000 people. However, despite the large turnout at both traditional marriage rallies, they did not receive much media coverage. Is the liberal media blind to huge demonstrations that promote moral values? Is the media blackout intended to give people the false impression that pro-traditional marriage advocates are a shrinking minority? It seems so.

But the large turnout at these rallies indicates that there is a strong and vocal reaction opposing the destruction of marriage in New York.

Featured speakers at the June 9 rally included New York State Senators Marty Golden, James Seward, and Ruben Diaz, as well as Rev. Duane Motley of New Yorkers for Constitutional Freedoms, Mr. Tony Perkins of the Family Research Council and Mrs. Maggie Gallagher of the National Organization for Marriage, among others.

Members of the American TFP attended the rally with a beautiful statue of Our Lady of Fatima, carried by two volunteers wearing the ceremonial habit of the organization. They also displayed a large banner, reading: “God’s marriage = 1 man + 1 woman” and a poster: “Catholics reject same-sex ‘marriage.’” Before entering the State Capitol building to distribute traditional marriage fliers, TFP members prayed a public Rosary, asking the Blessed Mother to intercede for us before the throne of God and preserve America from the sins of abortion and homosexuality.

Since Ronald Reagan went around the media and spoke directly to the American people, we have seen more efforts to control the message.

The media refused to cover many of Bush43’s speeches were he defended the WOT, Iraq, etc.

The media has learned how to coodinate against the right....as witnessed by this weekend’s “hate on the right” articles, broadcasts, etc linking Tiller and Holocaust Museum to the DHS report on conservatives.

Truth is relative.

Exactly. The driveby media wants to try to convince the general public that “everyone” supports them on whatever leftwing cause they support(homosexuality, abortions, global warming, Obama worship, etc., etc.)and to show the high number of folks taking opposite viewpoints would help discredit their efforts to brainwash the public.

AS DECLARED BY OBABA---THE NEW GOVERNMENT CREED

1. Feeling good about ourselves is paramount.......no matter how many laws we have to break.

2. Victimization is our basic belief by which we blame and find others responsible for all of our failures. Our duty is to A) cause victims, B) play victim, C) commiserate over victims, or D) create new classes of victims to bleed over.

3. We expect taxpayers, deep-pocketed individuals, and the courts, to bail out every government failure.

4. It's our duty to treat taxpayers like we were raising mushrooms--- keep them in the dark and feed them lots of horse manure.

5. Capitalism creates oppression; government creates opportunity.

6. The traditional family is archaic and constricting, with no redeeming value. Government must change all that.

7. The ACLU is good, because destroying religion and silencing believers are protected by the Constitution. The NRA is bad because it defends the Constitution.

8. Self-esteem above all----the government must undertake to guarantee each citizen-victim self-esteem, no matter the cost.
