WASHINGTON — Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell may have a tepid relationship with fellow Kentucky Republican Sen. Jim Bunning, but he's giving GOP rising star and 2010 Senate candidate Florida Gov. Charlie Crist a thumbs up.

According to Crist's Web site, McConnell gave the governor a full-throated endorsement.

"Decisions are being made every day in Washington that have a direct impact upon the lives of all Americans and we need Charlie Crist in the U.S. Senate to ensure that those decisions will benefit the citizens of Florida.”

Crist, McConnell and other party luminaries are slated to attend a campaign fundraising event for the governor later this month at the National Republican Senatorial Committee’s Washington headquarters.

I’d prefer thoughtful, educated voters enacting their OWN term limits on these vermin by voting the scum out.

But I’d settle for the statutory kind of limit as well.

One term for Senate... three for the house. Six years, then go back to your career and family. (You do HAVE a career and a family, like the rest of us Americans, don’t you, congressman?)

When we moved March 1 we re-registered No Party Affiliation. I plan to keep it that way. And until the GOP nominates or has a good Conservative for me to vote for, I wont vote for a Rino again. I voted for McCain because Palin was on the ticket. If the GOP does not get that. They dont get my vote.
The republic is at stake here AND I don’t need Democrat party light from these bozoz!

>> Even though I voted for McConnell for years, I’ll never vote for the man again. He is everything that is wrong with the GOP. <<

During the McCain-Feingold legislation debates, freepers used to talk about how McConnell was such a great conservative leader. I never saw it. Sure he votes conservative, but...

We are doomed. These two are perfect examples of why the Republican party has lost so badly in recent elections. I’ve lived in FL with Crist and now in KY with McConnell.

They are both worthless. McConnell is just plain stupid. Crist is a democrat with (R) after his name.

He had me fooled for awhile, but the way these RINOs act nowadays - it is so obvious - I can’t believe that I didn’t see it before. I’m so sick of these career politicians!

Republicans have have done pretty well raising taxes on their own the last 9 years without Charlie “The Taxman” Crist to help.

What is their thought process anyway?

Is it to bring in more race pandering, lying, big tax, big government types like Crist to help complete their move to becoming a second democrat party?

What taxes, exactly, did the Republican Congress raise during "the last nine years"?

Clarification is requested.

No money to NRSC — zero, zip nada. Donate direct to candidates like Rubio in FL. This is absolutely disgusting for them to get involved for Crist.

FL grassroots needs to get out and work for Rubio and send Crist packing.
