TAMPA - Mayor Pam Iorio has decided to halt proclamations of an annual day in Tampa for the Council on American-Islamic Relations, an organization that says it seeks to defend the civil rights of Muslims in the U.S., but has been accused of terrorist links.
Iorio has proclaimed a "CAIR Day" each fall since 2005. The organization has an active chapter in Tampa.

I work about a mile from their Tampa HQ. The entire area is plastered with middle-eastern eateries and hookah bars. I’ve purchased plenty of food from them, but I usually don’t talk outside of my order.
250 lb white man with a shaved head isn’t their idea of a friend in this part of Tampa.
BWWWWWHAAAAA!!!
Yea, but they don't mess with ya either. LOL
I don’t try to intimidate anyone. My bark is more than my bite... the S&W is my bite.
Maybe they'll cancel Kwanzaa next.
Me neither, FWIW.
Your description of yourself though matches me to a 'T'. And we do live in a visually oriented age.
~eh?
"My bark is more than my bite...the S&W is my bite."
A lover, that'd describe me pretty much also. LOL
Don't need a firearm, here.
Let my feet, hands, elbows, head etc serve as *my* bite.
Again though, people of our description rarely have the need for self defense, per se.
The *wrapper* just seems to broadcast: Move-on. ;^)
Strike two today for CAIR. The Somali community in Minn is making statements against CAIR also and asking community members to cooperate with the FBI investigation of their missing young men.
