Saved? How much of Spain’s (and other countries) problems are because they were tied to the Euro instead of being able to allow their currency to float?

sorry but where is the proof that the euro was a desaster for some countries which are using it (or that they would have preformed better without the euro)?
a single currency can be a big gain in the long therm. especially for britain because most of their trade is tied to EU countries which are using the euro. if they adopt the euro they are no longer affected (neither positiv nor negative) by flucturations of the currencies.
