A little-noted fact about the second nuclear test conducted on May 25 by the Kim Jong-il administration of the Democratic People's Republic of Korea (DPRK) is that it was a highly successful fission trigger test for multi-megaton warheads.
These types of warheads can be detonated in outer space, far above the United States, evaporating its key targets. This is a significant indication of the supreme leader's game plan for

Yep and the panic of all those addicted to their electronic toys would be the worst. Living Zombies!
It doesn’t mean they can’t slip one on to a container ship from out of South Korea connected it to a GPS so it detonates when the ship gets to Yokohama, Kawasaki, Kobe, LA, Seatle, San Diego,............
Let’s put the theory to a test => given the current state of CA, we should egg the gargoyle on and say I bet you can’t hit LA! If he has them, we could eliminate all that debt and those who created it without spending a dime. Also, in time for 2010, 50/50 would lose half his support base.
If Letterman can use tasteless jokes, why can’t we? Besides, I’ll apologize now for any trolls offended by above.
It actually makes a lot of sense...
NoKo ain’t stupid, and neither is Iran. Neither would toss a nuclear warhead at out homeland because they know we would retaliate with 1000 warheads. One successful EMP burst, say 300 miles above Chicago, would be sufficient to “level the playingfield” with the US, because at that altitude, the EMP footprint would be almost as big as CONUS.
Consider than every automobile built since about 1986 has had some sort of a computer to run it. A successful EMP would render every single electronic fuel injection system and automotive computer in the targeted area inoperable instantly. That one mass failure would set our transportations system back to the Model T, along with all of the “Just in time” deliveries that we all depend on so heavily.
Don’t dismiss this as impossible my friend, because in truth, one of So-Damn-Insane’s old Scud missiles from the first Gulf War is almost capable of such an attack. It’s not that hard to make a missile go straight up...
Gas won’t be much good without a pre-electronic age vehicle.
It seems that a regular gun safe would function as a Faraday Cage, as it is conductive metal all around. What do you think? Have a disaster vault, with guns, ammo, gold and electronic devices.
Yes it is. Written as though Dear Leader already has a hydrogen bomb and an ICBM to deliver it.
They're gonna use the US or Japan as a testing site for their thermonuclear weaponry.
I got a eerie feeling reading this - a feeling as if Kim Il Jung is living in a parallel universe somewhere.
Maybe his propaganda machine needs to hire Baghdad Bob.
Also, see the movie "Until the End of the World" with William Hurt.
Instantly, everything stops.
Patent Bull$hit!!!
As I said on the "E-bombs EMP Weapon Worries Counter-Terrorism Experts" thread at post 24 at http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/2266702/posts
“A Faraday cage or Faraday shield is an enclosure formed by conducting material, or by a mesh of such material. Such an enclosure blocks out external static electrical fields. Faraday cages are named after physicist Michael Faraday, who invented them in 1836.
“An external static electrical field will cause the electrical charges within the conducting material to redistribute themselves so as to cancel the field's effects in the cage's interior. This effect is used, for example, to protect electronic equipment from lightning strikes and other electrostatic discharges. To a large degree, Faraday cages also shield the interior from external electromagnetic radiation if the conductor is thick enough and any holes are significantly smaller than the radiation's wavelength.
For example, certain computer forensic test procedures of electronic components or systems that require an environment devoid of electromagnetic interference may be conducted within a so-called screen room. These screen rooms are essentially labs or work areas that are completely enclosed by one or more layers of fine metal mesh or perforated sheet metal. The metal layers are connected to earth ground to dissipate any electric currents generated from the external electromagnetic fields, and thus block a large amount of the electromagnetic interference. This application of Faraday cages is explained under electromagnetic shielding.”
The real thing to fear just after the EMP burst is fire. Most cities and towns will burn to the ground soon afterward as there will not be any way to fight the fires that break out from people trying to see in the dark, cook food or heat their dwellings. There will not be any power to pump water.
There will be grass and forest fires all over.
The death toll will be in the millions and millions from these fires and the following starvation, but even in the mist of all this, the Liberals will still blame it all on W, the GOP and us typical White folk.
So, when it is up to the survival of the fittest, I'm betting on us. We believe in firearms and knowing how to use them!
I still believe it!
Perhaps you missed the part where I said that a Scud is “almost capable”...my point is that it would not take much of a technology leap beyond an old Scud to be able to hit us with an EMP strike.
For further reading, here’s an excellent article that the American Spectator ran on this subject last month...

Just make sure you are further away from any urban center by better than a tank of gas, lest you have “guest” visiting you.
Well, since the EMP would take out the satellites, a sat phone would be a wasted investment...your better off just stocking up on food and water (and ammunition).
Lil’ Kim treats North Korea like it’s his own private plaything. What does he care if his country is vaporized after his own death?
This is a ridiculous statement.
