Fifty-one percent (51%) of Americans favor an across-the-board tax cut for all Americans to stimulate the U.S. economy, according to a new Rasmussen Reports national telephone survey.
Thirty-four percent (34%) oppose such a tax cut, and 15% are undecided.
Fifty-nine percent (59%) of both Republicans and adults not affiliated with either major political party think an across-the-board tax cut is a good idea. Democrats are fairly evenly divided on the wisdom of such a tax cut.
During Election 2008, then-candidate Obama promised to cut taxes for 95% of all Americans. So far, just 26% of adults believe President Obama has delivered on that promise. Forty-three percent (43%) say he has not and 31% are not sure.

And 49% are dumb.
At least we're headed in the right direction. Seven months ago, 53.2% were morons.
A lot of the idiots that voted for Odinga are whining and crying now! You dumbasses let the horse out of the barn on election day! Thanks a lot!
It’s amazing that this hasn’t effected Obama’s approval ratings one bit. He’s back at 56% approval as per Rasmussen this morning. Crazy.
Will the shine come off of him? I’m hoping yes. But so far, it’s maddening to see that his approval ratings are higher than at election time.
Wow, idiots among us.
The other 49% are the ones who file and don’t pay taxes or receive the “earned” income tax credit (wealth redistribution”.
“Thirty-four percent (34%) oppose such a tax cut”
#######
Because they do not pay taxes in the first place.
“31% are not sure”.
Wait, not sure if we should get tax breaks. If I only work for 6 months and than get fired so as to collect unemployment for a year, with the tax break, the government may not be able to send me a check.
Has to be one of the reasons for such a high numbers of I don’t know.
“Hes back at 56% approval as per Rasmussen this morning”...
Why don’t I believe this?.....
You don’t believe me, or you don’t believe Rasmussen? :)
Obama worship is still strong sadly enough. And the media does not criticize him one bit — and there are a lot of people who are going to be deceived that this recession is Bush’s even into the 2012 election.
I was thinking that, but didn’t want to say it. At least the comedians would make fun of him — and everyone knew he was a big joke.
But their pocketbooks were doing well, so they let it all slide. The question I have is — will Obama’s “charm” (I don’t see it) be enough to keep you voting for him if you are broke?
Sadly with ACORN — I don’t know if that’s even a pertinent question anymore.
BINGO!!!!
There is nothing there I disagree with. Spending is always the bigger culprit especially in an age when the government can borrow/print any deficit it creates.
Barry says “Blah, blah, blah, and blah, I can’t hear anything your saying!”
Obama and Congress are on a course to destroy our economy and freedom.
Obama plans to let the Bush tax cuts expire, which means about $1 trillion in new taxes. Plus, Socialist Obama and his Socialist Congress will enact cap & trade, which will substantially increase the cost of electricity for everyone in the U.S.
Together, the above actions will kill millions of businesses and millions of jobs. The unemployment rate will rise to 15-20% and that will be a depression, not a recession. We will have hyper-inflation caused by the trillions upon trillions in new national debt (money being printed). Interest rates will rise significantly, GDP will be negative, and tax revenues will therefore decline even though rates will be higher.
Everyone should write to his congressmorons and tell them if they don’t support the Fair Tax they won’t get your vote. The Fair Tax ( see www.fairtax.org) would eliminate the federal income tax and the IRS, replacing revenue with a national retail sales tax on new goods and services. (This is not the same as VAT or flat tax.) There are Fair Tax bills pending in both the House and the Senate, which are being “sat on” by the Demo-Socialists and Rinos. The Fair Tax would be on consumption only, not production. It would result in unprecedented economic growth in the U.S.
