I was just up at our neighborhood post office and of course it was under staffed with a long line. Well the bantering between customers and the two workers got going with them on the defensive. During a break in the conversations I spoke up and said, “just wait, soon the post office will be running our health care.” Oh wow what a outburst by just everyday people. I heard Obama called everything but president and his plans in terms that would make a sailor blush. There were several gentlemen apologizing to ladies in the line...with replies of no need, I agree. It was fun.

We are not alone by any means, just talking to people at the grocery store and the like, people are getting very concerned. Between this and Obama suggesting Salary Caps which is absolutely against everything thei nation is all about, may just cause a groundswell uprising the likes of which have not been seen in the history of the Country. If Democrats think the Regan revolution was bad, then their worst nightmares are well on the way to becoming real. The

Backlash is growing and it is HUGE.

Danae I hope your are correct. If what happened at the post office is any indication you may well be right. I was really surprised at the reaction and it wasn’t confined to just a few, seemed most people joined in. All it took was one person speaking up.

I had no idea... did that pass into law or was that part of the hillarycare we all so ridiculed?

To the best of my recollection, they actually limited the number of seats that would be open in medical schools.

They just got that this means they will be Government employees and be forced to see every medicare patient that contacts their offices for less money.

Its just the bottom line, it will destroy the practice of Free medicine in the United States. Thats some big Karma, BAD juju for real.

Thats why I write from a conservative perspective in the Liberal Portland area in the Examiner. I am consistently getting more positive feedback than negative. It is a myth we are a minority.

Agreed! The media has become expert at perpetuating myths.

No, you missed it.
I don't have a problem with doctors making what the market will bear. The entire context of the post is that liberal doctors who have pushed the liberal line and Obama are starting to realize that it is their livelihood that is now seeing the redistribution of wealth. Suddenly they are waking up.

First of all, the AMA is a shrinking base of doctors (only 25 percent of doctors nationwide belong). Check out what the other 75% of physicians (and nurses and medical students) are doing: www.pnhp.org

I love a good debate but I don’t like being patronized. With a private option, we would actually regain doctor-patient autonomy. (HMOs, PPOs choose the doctor & hospital for you now.) Secondly, 31 cents on every dollar goes toward administration (we have more billing clerks than nurses; something is wrong with that picture!) Eliminating the middlemen, the insurance bureaucracy, would more than pay for health care coverage for all Americans.

I agree, actually eliminating ALL insurance companies across the board would reduce health care costs by a HUGE amount.

This is an excellent time for conservative leaders to step up to the plate and ring out the message. Other than talk show hosts, some authors, bloggers and common folk there is a dearth of conservative leadership gone AWOL.
