TMZ.com: Miss USA Prejean Stripped Of Title
The entertainment gossip website, TMZ.com, has announced that Miss USA pageant winner, Carrie Prejean, has been stripped of her title.
According to the website, the termination was issued because Prejean had violated the terms of the pageant contract.
Questions arose about semi-nude photographs taken of her as a teenager and her association with a conservative advocacy group for marriage, pageant owner Donald Trump said in May.
Carrie Prejean's comments about her opposition to same-sex marriage ignited a media firestorm after a celebrity judge suggested her response may have cost her the Miss USA title; she finished as first-runner up. The photos surfaced later and led to the review of her state title.

I thought she was second?
What is going on here. It says she was stripped of her Miss USA title. I recall that she came in second. What it doesn’t say is that she was stripped of her Miss CA title, which may be the case. Under who’s authority was it stripped, Trump? I thought he came out publically supporting her.

Looks like she was failing to make appearances, and that she may have actually wanted out of the contract. From the Fox News article:
“Additionally, the Miss Universe Organization will make the reigning Miss USA, Kristen Dalton, and Miss Universe, Dayana Mendoza, available to K2 Productions to fulfill appearance requests that were declined by Prejean.
According to a source, Prejean has aspirations to write a book and pursue other opportunities, which she will be able to do now that she has been released from her duties as Miss California.”

TMZ screwed up.. she’s not Miss USA.
It’s official: Controversial Miss California Carrie Prejean has heard the words “you’re fired” from the pageant’s grand poobah, Donald Trump.
Trump issued a statement Wednesday saying he sacked Prejean for failing to honor her commitments as Miss California USA.
Pageant officials said Tami Farrell, the first runner-up to Prejean in the Miss California USA competition will take over those responsibilities.
I thought this matter was resolved over a month ago??? Trump said on TV that the Prejean is keeping the title of Ms. California.
I’ll bet the TMZ’ers were just skipping with glee while they were reading this little tidbit.
Isn’t she Miss California?
If she’s not meeting terms of the contract that she agreed to, then she should lose the title and the job.
