Strange though, when I was looking for info on his killer, it referred me to a FR post that he authored.
He didn’t author the post, as in posting it to FR—he was the author of an article discussed here, and was put up by FReeper wannabegeek.
BUT I’m sure the MSM will read it the way you did, that this guy was a regular poster here! ::rolls eyes::
Van Brunn apparently authored a post on some Norwegian forum that someone here linked to as a post here.
So Van Brunn never “authored” a post here, though it’s going to be spun that way.
It was posted because it was perceived as a cool rant about the birth certificate thing - it didn’t have any of Van Brunn’s White Supremacist or anti-Semitic ideology.
Van Brunn’s name was attached to the Norwegian post - I’m sure searching it at the time would have turned up his nutball websites. No conceivable way the Mods would have or should have been expected to do so - but the poster, in an ideal world, would have searched this guy’s name.
