"Any 'jokes' about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too."
- Todd Palin
"Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl are not only disgusting, but they remind us Hollywood has a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands - that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.'"
- Governor Sarah Palin

“...Hey...are we all as Americans this morally dead?”
I’m not comfortable with the “we all” part, but it seems like the answer is yes.

They pre-insulated from feedback:
“How do I E-mail Dave and others at the show?
Sadly, CBS has not yet set up internet service at the LATE SHOW offices. Until this happens (hopefully by mid-’09), your best bet is to send a telegram. If you’d like to E-mail David Letterman, Paul Shaffer or the LATE SHOW staff with questions or comments about the show and/or this website, you can do so by clicking the “Contact the Late Show” tab above. “

I agree with you...Todd would be well within his rights to knock Letterman on his old pathetic ass.
Thats the problem nowadays, libs can make personal attacks on women and children of Conservatives without getting the living sh*t beaten out of them.
To: Virginia Ridgerunner
Gee, even if Letterman is evil enough to joke about the sexual assault of a 14 year old girl, you'd think that he wouldn't do it because he was afraid that people who were offended would go to his online Ticket Request Page
http://lateshow.cbs.com/latenight/lateshow/show_info/tickets/form/ and enter the lottery for tickets to his show, just so that they could say, "Uh, no thanks." when Dave's folks called to say they had won. In fact, if a person was really made at ole Dave, they could accept the tickets, then not show up.
But, I'm sure Dave knows show business better than me. That is why he is rich and famous.

Todd should give him the mother of all beatdowns.Too late, Sarah just did:
"...comments made by a 62-year old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl are not only disgusting, but they remind us Hollywood has a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands - that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others."
This is a not-no-thinly-veiled swipe at Dave Letterman, effectively calling him a child molester without actually saying the words.
Devastating.
To: Virginia Ridgerunner
Letterman should be fined by the FCC for that comment.
Not that it will happen under this administration, but that kind of comment about Chelsea (when she was 14) or any similar comment about Obama's daughters would have resulted in the closure of the network.

“One awkward moment though during the game, maybe you heard about it, maybe you saw it on one of the highlight reels. One awkward moment for Sarah Palin at the Yankee game, during the seventh inning, her daughter was knocked-up by Alex Rodriguez. “

My comment:
"Joking" about raping a 14 year old (Willow Palin) is despicable. Please verify that the following are the current advertisers on the Letterman show. (That way I don't don't contact an advertiser in error.)

Best Western
Intel
CBSports.com

I will wait another day to see if Letterman/CBS apologizes for this disgusting incident, before asking the above advertisers about their position on child rape and supporting those who advocate it.
To: EdReform
Thank you. It worked! And I asked, heheh.

Inspiring.
I don’t want to just follow the Palins, I want to be a pulling guard that runs devastating interference for them against disgusting, amoral scum liberals such as Letterman.
