"Any 'jokes' about raping my 14-year-old are despicable. Alaskans know it and I believe the rest of the world knows it, too."
- Todd Palin
"Concerning Letterman's comments about my young daughter (and I doubt he'd ever dare make such comments about anyone else's daughter): 'Laughter incited by sexually-perverted comments made by a 62-year old male celebrity aimed at a 14-year-old girl are not only disgusting, but they remind us Hollywood has a long way to go in understanding what the rest of America understands - that acceptance of inappropriate sexual comments about an underage girl, who could be anyone's daughter, contributes to the atrociously high rate of sexual exploitation of minors by older men who use and abuse others.'"
- Governor Sarah Palin
Well are you surprised?
Letter-ape may be getting hemmorhoid surgery from an actylene torch soon.
CBS= CEEYA B.S.
(How are those Couric ratings working for ya CBS?)
Me too. I just sent them a note reminding them that a) Imus was fired for less, b) it's NEVER funny to joke about statutory rape, and c) demanding either Letterman's firing or, at minimum, an on air apology.
I also mentioned that I'd boycott all of CBS' advertisers until c) happened.
Where are the ladies of NOW on this one?
Note to self: Add TV.com, On The Border Restaurants, Best Western, Intel, CBSports.com, JohnFreida.com, DiTech, Lexus, Earn My Degree, True Credit by TransUnion, Lifelock, Bowflex, Mars Candy, Capitol One, LasikPlus, Embassy Suites, EBay, ancestry.com to my boycott list.
They do look bad @$$ don't they. I can't imagine any of them could not change a starter in their truck....
Are any of his sponsors receiving bailout money?
If so, our tax dollars would end up funding his show.
Leave a note on his Facebook page:

Yes, I think he was funny back in the 80's when he was on NBC and for awhile he was funny after moving to CBS. At first, I merely thought him mean-spirited, as many of his "jokes" were actually ambushes of people on the street who were not in on the joke. Eventually, he just got sort of zany and reminded me of the Tonight Show when Steve Allen hosted it.
Now, he is just a bitter old man. He seldom smiles, and merely scowls a bitter scowl. His jokes are lame and you can see them coming a mile away. I remember one from a few years ago. It was right after Pres. Bush had been to China, and he tried to open some doors that would not open. Letterman's joke: he announced that the President of the United states would be on. I said to my wife: "watch as he cuts to a shot of some locked doors jiggling as if some fool on the other side is trying to get in", and that, of course, was the "joke".
Another Dave masterpiece was when Obama went to Mexico. Dave lauded Obama as a great president "the first to actually visit our neighbor to the south in a long time". He then said that our previous president thought he had been to Mexico-and he cuts to a photo of a Taco Bell with a pic of Bush badly superimposed over it. So, several months into the Obama presidency, and he has yet to make fun of the Fűhrer and continues with the "boy that Bush was a big dummy" type of joke.
I do not think CBS even considers him a comedian any more. I think his job is to be a bitter old fart who spews leftist bile and who gets away with it under the guise of satire. These remarks about both Palins are truly disgusting. I'd write to complain to CBS but they would probably take my letter as proof that Letterman is doing his job.
I wonder, how does Mr Rodriguez feel about being accused of raping a minor?
I like when he asked her if she had ever been called slutty. She says, “yes, and I’m still here”, and then Ziegler says “you’ve been called slutty on national TV by David Letterman”? Shut her right up. Classic.
Yup. That’s why I thought a straight forward punch in the nez would be more than enough punishment for the snobbish Mr. Letterman.
Not funny to threaten people with murder on a website. Not very smart, either.
Thanks nutmeg!
I could be mistaken, but IIRC, Imus was employed by CBS Corporation as well (CBS Radio).
How CBS can allow Letterman to go unpunished, yet fire Imus for something far less offensive is beyond me.
You are right and I apologize. MODS, please delete.
He was awesome. I’ve never heard someone talk to a news person like that! Refreshing.
