Well, I don’t know what the other poster will say Israel was doing, but the U.S. knows what it was doing and so..., that’s why nothing came of the shooting up of the USS Liberty...

The U.S. should have gotten the ship out of there. That’s what happens when you get your nose too close to some action...

Well, I do have an agenda to remind everyone of LBJ every chance I get, someone who tried to push a radical liberal agenda, and so overreached, even his own party turned on him and he declined to run for a second term.. I am hoping for change and history repeating itself.

Oh yeah, I don’t doubt it at all. It’s *very obvious* that the U.S. realized that “it got caught” since the U.S. really didn’t do a whole lot about it — other than “posturing” for the public and making it “look good” so it wouldn’t look bad for themselves.

Oh yeah! But, it is kind of hard to cover up what is so obvious..., and so, they just decided to sweep it under the rug as best that they could. And it was shoved out of the limelight, by the U.S. as quickly as it could...

Note that it’s the — U.S. — that wanted to get rid of the story..., and that’s why it never went anywhere, other than the normal (and half-hearted) “public declarations” that one tries to make to make it look good (i.e., that the government is “doing something”...).
