Sounds a bit like “cools her heels”.
I don’t think she broke her ankle - I think Axelrod had it put into a cast so she couldn’t put her foot into her mouth over the next two months.
How about resting her activist, lying, Communist career?
I think La Raza seems like it needs more open borders, AA-pushing, anti-gun, anti-death penalty, pro-Marxists who have superior courts overturn her decisions at a 60% rate.
She shouldn’t even be considered for this job, but putting unqualified Statists in office is what Obama does, including himself.
The future of the Constitution may be at stake but I’m really more concerned about Sotomayer’s ankle.

My brother broke his ankle.
He sure wasn’t up and around in a day or two. He was pretty well drugged up for about the first week.
You must remember that a Latina woman’s ankles are special and more qualified to fully recuperate than a white man’s are.

I fell out of a tree and broke my ankle( I thought I was still a kid) Sotomayor and I are close to the same age and I’ve got a history of being the recipient of unexpected pain. When I broke my ankle I couldn’t absorb the pain and had to have help. The idea of getting on a plane without any treatment is pure crapola. I think she just sprained it and the media is milking it to show she’s a tough cookie.

My wife once sprained her ankle, and it was extremely painful.
She couldn’t even put pressure on it.
But there Sotomayor “breaking” her ankle, getting on a plane, going to DC(no pain on the flight?) gets it looked at, “patched up”, and by the afternoon walking around on crutches in the Capitol building visiitng Senators after a meeting in the White House.
And did you watch her “walk”—she is putting weight on the busted foot!
Something isn’t right with this picture.
I wonder how broke her ankle really is. About 2 years ago I broke my ankle by slipping in the kitchen. It twisted around completely backwards and then I came down on it while it was twisted backward and CRACK all the bones broke out. When I tried to stand my leg bone tried to come through the skin right at the ankle. Pure white hot agony. It was a holiday so it was 4 days before surgery. They basically had to cut my foot off the rest of the way, clean the bones up, then they added 6 screws, a pin and a plate to reposition everything and set the regrowth gaps. 3 months in a wheelchair, 1 month in walker, and now 2 years later and its like new. Thats what its like when you break your ankle, so I wonder how bad her’s was.
Pity the poor pained nominee. Are Michael Jackson pajamas next?
The cast is s sympathy ploy.

My brother was similar to yours and he, too, ended up with a plate and six screws. I was up and around in a wheelchair I think around the 30day mark. Another month after he could hobble around and drive.
