I thought about the scenario of Al Goron flying to Siberia for some environmental conference and announce that he would go sightseeing afterward in remote part of Siberia for several days. Then he hops on Russian military transport plane and fly to Pyongyang.

No. (Unless you are just kidding), the United States does not (should not) go to war to free two Al Gore, San Francisco, anti-US military liberal journalists who exercised bad judgement or otherwise were in the wrong place at the wrong time. I at least don't shoot from the hip.
If we go to war, it is to stop a direct threat against our American military in South Korea or Japan, or citizens in those countries per our military alliance with them, or against our West Coast, or to stop a blatant act of them trying to sell a nuke to a terrorist or terrorist nation (cargo seized and evidence found). But not for two Gore-ites playing journalist who--sad for them granted--are not going to be the lynchpin for all out war on the Korean Peninsula. Send in Al Gore and he can pay their way out with his own money, not a dollar in aid to North Korea from US taxpayers to buy liberals' their freedom.

True and if we did go into Korea then Iran would see it as a perfect time for a missle launch into select targets.

actually I do want to see the fight opened with NK
It should have been settled way back when .
Whether this is the issue that should start action
I do not know . Maybe you are right . On the other hand ,these rotten little cowards , who have always been beyond heinous
and deceitful in every single thing , they deserve what’s coming to them. I wish we had a warrior in office right now , not a lawyer . I wish to see Pyongyang a smoking ruin , with surrender flags emerging from the rubble .
b/t/w I , like you , live within range of NK missiles

Hmm... maybe we need to encourage more of our journalists to visit North Korea.

Do you think this was a pre-arranged thing, perhaps? I remember a bunch of leftist Italian and other journalists got “kidnapped” by AQ a couple of years ago and their governments paid a hefty ransom to get them back (under the table, but they paid it nontheless). Then, of course, it emerged that the “journalists” were actually in league with the kidnappers, and it was a money-raising stunt. Since they were leftists, though, they were never punished by their own countries (the ones that had paid to have them “released”).
Just curious, is this the same thing?

Send Jesse Jackson to the rescue..... Frankly I could care less about expendable journalists. The word “journalist” by itself prompts the word “scum” in my brain.
To: dalereed
I think a way to get them out is to threaten to make them keep Gore.

Honestly, though, what the heck were Americans doing over in NK for ANY reason?, Apparently, they were working for Al Gore.
Gore's "Current TV" used to advertise job positions regularly on "Craigslist."

The NK dear leader will release these naive “reporters” in a couple of months. Until then, these two gals will learn how to plant and grow cabbage.

If these “journalists” are leftists and the probability of that is about 90%, then I just have to yawn at this...
I dont care... I feel no kinship, brotherhood or connection of any type to leftists. At all... None... I have no sympathy for their plight and I cannot feel their pain.
In fact, It makes me smile to think that two socialist “journalists” will spend what amounts to the rest of their lives in a prison built by their ideological brothers.
