HARTFORD, Conn. -- Authorities said a New Jersey man awaits extradition on a warrant charging him with inciting his website's readers to threaten two Connecticut lawmakers and a state ethics office employee.
Connecticut State Capitol Police say 47-year-old Harold "Hal" Turner was taken into custody Wednesday by police in North Bergen. He is scheduled to appear in court there today.
Police said Turner incited his online readers "to take up arms" against Sen. Andrew McDonald and Rep. Michael Lawlor.

Who the F is Hal Turner?
Typo. He meant to type "to take up alms." Political contributions.
Nat’s cousin?
He posted here on FR
Want a do-over?
I can’t find the blog - only references to it...was it pulled down or are they transcribing it from www.liberalsmkingshitup.com?
Tina’s cousin.....’We Don’t Need Another Hero’
Screen name?
Is this for real?!? Now we’re back to Woodrow Wilson style politics: arrest your political enemies for sedition and lock’em up with the rapists, murderers and drug dealers.
Yes, he did, but not for long.

Good riddance from the look of things.
What we have is Hal Turner typed some words on his blog. Somebody who doesn't like Hal read them and was inspired by those words to complain that he was advocating killing two homosexuals in a legislature just full of them.
At the same time the two homosexuals were announcing the introduction of legislation that would direct the Catholic Church in how to spend money and keep financial accounts.
I think what we have are some people "overreaching". Eventually they will get on airplanes and fly off to some place more in line with their interests. Maybe all of them will fly off. Maybe they'll visit with Chris Dodd and discuss how they can turn to a life of graft, corruption and theft and no longer be distracted by real political issues.
Whatever they do, this Turner guy is the least of it ~ he's just an incidental in Connecticut's fetid world of politics and Mafia business interests.
I think he is going to get off on this charge ~ he didn't quite make a REAL threat. Eventually he'll do that and then "they" will get him.
Yup.
But what is his down side?

Internet radio host Hal Turner, accused of inciting violence against two state lawmakers and a state ethics official on a website, probably won’t appear in Connecticut to answer the charge until next week.
As of Thursday afternoon, Turner remained in a New Jersey jail, said state Capitol Police Chief Michael J. Fallon.
Turner, who has been identified as a white supremacist and anti-Semite by several anti-racism groups, hosts an Internet radio program with an associated blog. On Tuesday, the blog included a post that promised to release the home addresses of state Rep. Michael Lawlor, state Sen. Andrew McDonald and Thomas Jones of the State Ethics Office.
“It is our intent to foment direct action against these individuals personally,’’ the blog stated. “These beastly government officials should be made an example of as a warning to others in government: Obey the Constitution or die.”

Website: Turner Radio Network The remarks on the blog were a reaction to the recent controversy over a bill before the legislature’s judiciary committee that would have changed the way the Roman Catholic Church is governed, taking power away from church officials and turning it over to lay members. The bill was pulled in mid-March following an outcry from Catholics across the state and questions about its constitutionality. Lawlor and McDonald are co-chairman of the committee.
Last week, the controversy flared again when the Diocese of Bridgeport filed a federal lawsuit against state ethics officials, who are investigating whether church officials violated lobbying laws by organizing a rally at the state Capitol to protest the measure earlier this spring and not registering as lobbyists.
A message left with the person who answered the phone at the contact number listed on the blog was not returned.
Fallon said Capitol police learned of the blog posts from one of the targeted lawmakers on Tuesday “and by late Wednesday afternoon, we had him in custody.’’
Another article said he was preparing to list the addresses of government officials, apparently so people could picket their homes. Sounds just like ACORN, right?
Well, this guy may be a Nazi sympathizer or something equally bad (I don’t know - never heard of him), but did he commit a crime? It doesn’t sound like it.
