PRUDEN: 'Inner Muslim' at work in Cairo
The Washington Times ^ | June 5, 2009 | Wesley Pruden

Posted on 06/05/2009 2:28:01 PM PDT by Scanian

Now it's on to Normandy, to apologize to the Germans. It's the least an American president can do after the way the Allied armies left so much of Europe in rubble. There's a lot of groveling to do for what America accomplished in the Pacific, too.

This prospect should appeal to Barack Obama, who relishes the role of Apologizer-in-Chief. Apologizing for manifold sins against civilization is not always easy, but it's simple enough: "Blame America First." You just open a vein and let it flow. In Cairo, Mr. Obama opened an artery.

America, unlike the president, is guilty of hubris, arrogance and cant. All that must change. "Change" is what the smooth-talking Chicago messiah says he is all about. "Given our interdependence, any world order that elevates one nation or group of people over another will inevitably fail," he told the Muslim elites Thursday at Cairo U. "So whatever we think of the past, we must not be prisoners of it." It's not "a world order" that elevates America, but events. No other country is as generous, as forgiving, as willing to sacrifice blood and bone when the world calls for help. If not America, who? Hasn't the president heard?

Big talkers don't know when to stop when they're on a rhetorical roll because they can't remember which facts are actually facts and which "facts" they're making up. Mr. Obama even attributed the Golden Rule, from the teachings of Christ, to "every religion." In an interview before the Cairo speech, he called the United States one of "the largest Muslim countries," based on its Muslim population, and he later put the number of Muslims in America at 7 million

I think the beast is now released and he is showing how Muslim he truly is and how much he cannot stand whites. All you need to do is look at his reaction to the killing of the soldier by the black Muslim. It is disgusting but not surprising out of a Muslim President. I am fully convinced he is Muslim through and through.

The Apology Tour is getting really, really old. When will the American people tell Zero enough is enough already???

Today’s Rasmussen poll gave us a hint that they may be doing just that. For the first time, his “strongly approves” and “strongly disapproves” are dead even.

The honeymoon is coming to a screeching halt. Playing footsies with Muslims is not the way for Hussein to endear himself to the American public which, according to the most reliable numbers I’ve seen, is only about .6 percent Muslim. Zer0’s 7% is way off.

Zero gets more facts wrong than Dan Quayle ever dreamed of, but so far the MSM has been flying cover for him. That may change as his numbers erode.

I’d rather say that OBAMA ,and not USA,is guilty of hubrys and is affected by a mental disorder ,an identity problem...

“DREAMS of my FATHER” could have been also titled “DREAMS OF OBAMA”...Hese dreams are the results of big personal frustrations and then are disconnected with reallity since he denies a big part of reallity.
His father failed, his mother failed...OBAMA was/is angry against USA and the western world and that’s why he met J.WRIGHT and AYERS...
That guy is very predictible and it’s very concerning.
He needs cares and is not able to be POTUS

I agree. Once upon a time not so very long ago, a young male with Obama’s complexes and thought patterns would have been institutionalized as a potential danger to society.

I certainly hope so but that would, I’m afraid, fall into the “modern miracles” category. U.S. journalists have so much invested in this loony-toon that he could hold a gun to their heads and they still wouldn’t realize that he was up to no good.

In college, journalism majors were considered part of the low-end of the student body. That prejudice is fully realized by U.S. political writers.

I think a lot depends on how bad his numbers get and if he draws a challenge from within his own party. When the Kennedy wing of the party had it with Jimmuh and Teddy later ran a primary challenge the press pounded him. Not that they were favorable to Reagan, but they sure didn't help Jimmuh.

Mr. Obama's revelation of his "inner Muslim" in Cairo reveals much about who he is. He is our first president without an instinctive appreciation of the culture, history, tradition, common law and literature whence America sprang. The genetic imprint writ large in his 43 predecessors is missing from the Obama DNA. He no doubt meant no offense in returning that bust of Churchill ("Who he?") or imagining that a DVD of American movies was appropriate in an exchange of state gifts with Gordon Brown. Nor did he likely understand why it was an offense against history (and good manners) to agree to the exclusion of the Queen from Saturday's commemoration of the Anglo-American liberation of France. Kenya simply routed Kansas.

What an incredibly pregnant paragraph.

"...without an instinctive appreciation of the culture, history, tradition, common law and literature whence America sprang."

"The genetic imprint writ large in his 43 predecessors is missing from the Obama DNA."

"Kenya simply routed Kansas."

Heretofore, I've not subscribed to the birth certificate flap. Nor, given the unconvincing evidence at hand, do I now.

However, it is now very clear to me why the founders specified that only "a natural-born American" was eligible for the office of the President.

The current officeholder may (or may not) have been born in Hawaii, but his actions are consistent with one who was, in fact, born in Kenya and raised in Indonesia.

In no way are they the actions of a natural-born American.
