This is the kind of thing that should have happened to GM all along. Not the ridiculous involvement of government and the massive economic and counterproductive failure that will surely follow.

Lot of interesting possibilities here.

- UAW out on their rear.
- A Saturn engine and/or chassis in open wheel racing.
- A profitable American car manufacturer to further squelch the union types.

Very good news. Love him or hate him, he is a shrewd business man.

Penske is a smart man. This should be interesting to watch.

If Penske can acquire the capital to maintain and expand Saturn facilities, and if he can keep the Saturn design team and retail team he may be able to outperform the Chevy division of Govt Motors Corp. That WOULD be a good thing.

Even with the Chicoms buying Hummer, it will be strangely satisfying to see Saturn and Hummer running along successfully while GM and Chrysler sink into the dustbin of history.

Maybe I will start considering the Saturn Sky again.

This is not good. I listened to an interview of him. He wants to used the dealership platform to bring in other cars from other countries for sale. Just what we need, more foreign cars.

GMGMQ is back up to 75 cents, compared to yesterday’s 61.5.

I heard that on my local radio as well. I hope so. And I would support his efforts. When Saturn first appeared on the market, I was very much for it, the idea, the people, the entire busines. Here’s hoping Penske can bring some of that back.
