The general feeling in the Islamic world is that Americans are infidels and need to be killed. No two ways about it. America’s strong relationship with Israel is also a major stumbling block to improved relations with the Arab world. The entire ME and a good portion of the world wouldn’t mind if Israel just went away and no longer existed.

We tried that after WWI with Germany. It didn't work out too well in the long run.
Incidentally, It would be almost impossible for Afghanistan to be more poor than they were on 9/10/01. The still seemed to cause us a great deal of harm, even in their poor financial status.
NO! I would say...CINO! Christian in Name Only! I would not be surprised at all to learn that a number of people who attended there are closet “liberal” muSSlims...they “affiliate” with a CINO church for political/business advantage. As for it being “Christian” ... I cannot imagine being part of a church body that welcomed, endorsed, and encouraged the black liberation theology espoused at that church by Jeremiah Wright, and have the audacity to call itself “Christian.”
As a matter of fact, I just finished reading this excellent book. Prophetic.
We hear little anecdotes of that happening here and there on Free Republic.
