What this boils down to is that anyone can vote....no matter where they are from.
Is there no recourse through the judicial system? This doesn’t seem to me to be Constitutional.
I live in Georgia and plan to hound the s___ out of my state reps to shove this back up Obama’s fascist ass.
“This flawed system frequently subjects a disproportionate number of African-American, Asian and/or Hispanic voters to additional, and more importantly, erroneous burdens on the right to register to vote,” Loretta King, acting assistant attorney general of the Justice Department’s civil rights division, said. King’s letter was sent to Georgia Attorney General Thurbert Baker on Friday.”
I have this uneasy feeling that this, someday, will the reason I, a white, heterosexual male, will not be able to do anything but pay bills for everyone else until I move to the woods and live in a teepee...
Disproportionate, because select democrat voting blocks are incapable of obtaining or possessing proper ID.
It's hard to fathom how these idiot voters fail to see how utterly demeaning and insulting their slave masters really are. Prideless tools.
The Obama DOJ wipes their rears with the law.
What has the GA governor done to reverse this attack by unelected central planning lawyers?
Holder’s DOJ is all over this because he understands that the next step is proving citizenship for persons standing for election. Bambi does not want this!
voting early and often is a Democratic right. Just ask Al Franken
The dems will do anything to get more votes.
Next thing you know we’ll be told we don’t have the right to expect a candidate for President to provide proof that he is eligible to hold the office.
Texas was just going to pass a similar law—with the same arguments by the Dems.
Seems to me that getting an ID isn’t that difficult.
The dems are still stuffing the ballot box. The republicans had 6 years to deal with that issue and did nothing.
BTW, what authority does the federal government have over how a state holds its Presidential elections?
Two comments:
1) This is a trampling of states’ rights by the central government. I would hope that states will wise up and reject that authority, reasserting the 10th Amendment. Some standoffs between State Militias and the Federal Army would make for great video for the news.
2) On the other hand, I would love to see what “approved” guidance exists from DOJ on verifying voter eligibility to vote. As far as I can see, the process approved is for DOJ to take the state to court, *allege* that a state system doesn’t work, and let a court decide. Now, apparently, they are in a position to approve something or reject something? Georgia should tell DOJ to kiss their collective asses.
