June 1 was the last edition. Another conservative news outlet bites the dust.
For Philly ping list
Not good
Another Conservative? Well there are also lefty papers going down. Seems to be signs of the times.
I was wondering how long the little paper could last
Change in technology. That’s all. Same reason we don’t ride in horse-drawn buggies anymore. Things change.
Why pay for newspapers when you can browse for free on the Internet?
Sorry to see another paper go. Was it really conservative or was it more RINO? What’s the scoupe?
Are there any Conservatives in Philly to buy a paper?
So sorry to hear that.
No but there are a few (very few) in the suburbs.
Whew! I thought the Bulletin went under a long time ago. Too bad. I won’t say that when the Daily News and the Inquirer turn out the lights. Two leftist rags.
Unfortunately, the guy who writes the outdoor column will be out of work too. Hopefully he will find something outside the big cities. Pennsylvania, at least when I left there, was largely agricultural out side of the major cities. I traveled all over the state hunting and shooting grounhogs.
The legislature has smacked down several cities for implementing draconian gun control laws. News papers in those cities are not worth reading in my view. Of course I am biased on the subject.
“...Same reason we dont ride in horse-drawn buggies anymore...”
Speak for yourself.
Very sorry to hear this.
;-)
Hated to give it up. Cost of oats.
Of course. Papers are simply becoming an obsolete deliver method.
Sorry to hear that. I was very good outlet for conservative thought.
LOL - your name is Monterrosa-24 Yoder, right?
Failure to adapt and overcome ping.
One side of my family comes from the Western PA, Whiskey Rebellion side of Federalism understanding.
I thought something was wrong when I went to the website this morning and it still had yesterdays news on it. I’ll miss the Bulletin, especially Herb Denenbergs columns. He went after Obama almost on a daily basis. It’s too bad none of the conservative TV or radio shows ever had him on as a guest..
Frankly, I don’t know how the Bulletin survived as long as it did. There is no advertising to speak of, either in the print version or the web version , it only cost a quarter, but you had to be in center city or northeast Philly to buy a copy. No newsstands in So Philly carrried it, nor was it available in South Jersey. Home delivery was available but I believe that it was by US mail , which meant you would have to be pretty lucky to get a paper the same day it was printed.
RIP
