Whew! I thought the Bulletin went under a long time ago. Too bad. I won’t say that when the Daily News and the Inquirer turn out the lights. Two leftist rags.

Unfortunately, the guy who writes the outdoor column will be out of work too. Hopefully he will find something outside the big cities. Pennsylvania, at least when I left there, was largely agricultural out side of the major cities. I traveled all over the state hunting and shooting grounhogs.

The legislature has smacked down several cities for implementing draconian gun control laws. News papers in those cities are not worth reading in my view. Of course I am biased on the subject.

I thought the Bulletin went under a long time ago.

It did. The one that just went under was a more recent reincarnation of the old afternoon paper. I was actually a Bulletin paper boy about 50 years ago. It was TV news that killed the old Bulletin. Why spend 5 cents to read the news when Walter Cronkite would read it to you for free.

Whew! I thought the Bulletin went under a long time ago.

It did. In 1982.

This was the new Bulletin, started 5 years ago.

Not the best time to start a newspaper.
