So here we are at the deathbed of General Motors. The company's body not yet cold, and I find myself filled with -- dare I say it -- joy. It is not the joy of revenge against a corporation that ruined my hometown and brought misery, divorce, alcoholism, homelessness, physical and mental debilitation, and drug addiction to the people I grew up with.

GM did all that? Who knew?

What disturbs me more than anything else, is the focus on GM as if it were guilty of something that brought on it’s fiscal demise.

You had policies devised by the federal government that essentially destroyed the banking and lending industry. You had the politicians who trash-talked the economy for the better part of a year. We watched them all but destroy consumer confidence. They drove up unemployment through shooting off their mouths as a politicians, and made it so loans were very hard to come by. Now they blame the auto makers for the fact that their sales dropped off a cliff by 35 to 45%, saying it’s their poor cars and mismanagement that brought this upon themselves.

Now Michael Moore swoops in with his little pink tutu and slippers, to feast on the bones of the company he has been trying to destroy for the last two decades.

What an evil bastard...

All you folks in Flint Michigan, be sure to tell Michael thanks for helping the Democrats you supported for most of your lives, destroy your home town.

This article gets my blood boiling. We are not set up like Europe, and European solutions won’t work here for strictly geographical reasons.
