In January, Oprah Winfrey invited Suzanne Somers on her show to share her unusual secrets to staying young. Each morning, the 62-year-old actress and self-help author rubs a potent estrogen cream into the skin on her arm. She smears progesterone on her other arm two weeks a month. And once a day, she uses a syringe to inject estrogen directly into her vagina.

Uh, um, ah .. really shouldn't have read that ....
I can think anything of this other than what a sad and pathetic way to live.
Pssst.. She's not really staying young. Pass it on.
The only cure for aging that I know of is death. You know, people could just grow old gracefully instead of desperatly clinging to the dying embers of youth. I really really can’t stand Oprah. I’m tired of her insipid, drooling, vapid BS infecting society.
No.
Period.
No.
I would have volunteered
"You're a field of energy in a larger field of energy," one of The Secret's teachers said. "And like attracts like, and that's very, very scientific."Electrons and protons, I guess, are not very scientific.
TMI.... way way TMI....
I'm so looking forward to sitting on a porch swing in a velor track suit and yelling at neighborhood kids to get off my lawn.I hate to bust your bubble, but I think Obama and Pelosi are going to outlaw lawns. Don't they use too much water?
Yep
Geez, there goes breakfast....yuk!!!
Folks, I won’t speak about the wisdom and/or efficacy of Suzanne’s heavy hormone use, but with my medical background I will tell you this: without hormone cream applied to the vagina, many older women are not able to have sex—it becomes too painful as the loss of innate hormones causes the vaginal walls to thin and even tear. So it sounds as though Suzanne wants to continue having a sex life. That’s reasonable, isn’t it? Surely that’s not something any of you would want her to give up, is it?

________
At her age, I would say that you are correct.
Yowzer! (and pathetic)
BTW isn't this use of estrogen (and all it takes to produce, deliver, etc.) just a waste of precious resources and causing needless CO2 emmissions? Whoops, (climate change) rules are for little people (and/or conservatives of all stripes)
I have a syringe.
I think the gist of the article is how Oprah promotes one “miracle cure” after another without the slightest interest in any information on the downside of each “miracle” and then how she moves on to the next “miracle” without skipping a beat.
I should have posted this article with a different excerpt. I just took the first sentence. I probably quoted something else.
LOL!!
I have awarded you with a great honor....Post O’The Morning.
Oprah’s promotion of the anointed one as the cure for the country’s ills may be the cure that killed the patient.
