This might be “the beginning” of “Bowman time”...
I am not sure if I can post the picture of the suspect car or not...
Admin Moderators might have to pull...
Schuller is Reformed Church of America.
Maybe it’s an obamaniac thug working for his Thug in chief!
Will we know the truth with a fair trial?
I doubt it. People will fuss for a while and then they tend to forget it. Tiller the Killer is now Tiller the Killed.
You can post the picture of the suspect. Why would you think you can’t?
Hadn’t thought of that - definately not current nuns but maybe ex nuns.
Mel
What's your definition of that?
Since it's "self" defense, does that mean killing to defend someone else is not justified?
From picture, looks like a nice day in Kansas.
Also a nice day where I am at...
Johnson County doesn’t have a police department. They have a sheriff’s department. Their cars even have it written on them just like in the big photo.
I hate the media. They are so careless.
We do have the death penalty.
I am using their link...
You cannot link to some newspapers photos/links...
Just copyright rules...
Some of the fine print for posting...
Interesting that you mention Hitler since I have just purchased Valkyrie, the new Cruise movie about the plot on Hitler’s life. I got through most of it yesterday and intend to finish it tonight.
The plot does not suceed. I certainly had to sit there and wonder why, but I am very deterministic about life and death. No one is born or dies without God’s involvement, in my opinion.
Hitler was permitted a few more months. Tiller was taken today. A very dear brother, who was a Boy Scout regional director, educator, and a solid Christian, was called home this past week after suffering for a while with pancreatic cancer.
I’d far rather have the brother still with us than Tiller. Certainly, than Hitler.
But, life and death is in God’s hands, and the death of ANYONE, to include Tiller, had to pass muster with God in my view of the cosmos.
Tiller’s life is similar to the adage: “If you play with fire, you’re gonna get burnt.” He did, and he did. Yet, the foreknowledge of God saw this plan and approved it.
None of this makes Tiller’s murderer less a murderer, but it does mean that God is in control.
Then post a link. That’s always allowed.
When tyrannical judges deny people access to the political process to decide political questions it’s like turning up the heat on a pressure cooker with no relief valve. Eventually it’s gonna blow.
My reason for that has to do with the murder of James the brother of John by Herod Agrippa I. This story is in Acts 12. In that story, Peter is also captured, imprisoned, and set to be wrongly executed by this fanatical king. The church prayed for his release and Peter was miraculously released.
On his release Peter did not rail against the king, nor did the Christians agitate for the death of King Herod Agrippa.
Shortly thereafter, though, God Himself took Herod's life due to Herod's own narcissism.
It is a clear biblical example of a true grievous and a true act of retribution by God, and not by God's people.
Very true.
We need to keep in mind that, prior to his departure for Damascus, Saul/Saint Paul was a truly evil man and a sworn enemy of Christianity. NOTHING that Christians did changed Paul, his conversion was a deliberate Act of God. Peter, James, John and the other Christians NEVER imagined that their enemy would become Christianity's greatest evangelist, but this is exactly what happened.
Do I believe that Tiller repented and received Salvation? I think it is highly unlikely; but I CANNOT say that for a certainty. God alone judges who will go to Heaven and who will go to Hell.
For those who dont know of him and history, he was used of GOD to literally single handily defeat the Russians in Afghanistan when everyone was afraid to offend the Russians by sending covert military aid to Afghanistan.
But if he had carried this out somewhere else, perhaps he could have gotten away with it. He probably did want the publicity, and he probably knew it would hurt the pro-lifers. Just guessing here -
No, “true self defense” is just my shorthand way of mentioning the self defense argument without going into all the details of it. It does include defense of one’s family in immediate threat of life.
