Sounds like Arlen Specters hearing Joe Sestaks footsteps . . .
Newly-minted Democrat Specter, facing a likely primary from the left by Rep. Joe Sestak, went out of his way to stick up for Sonia Sotomayor on Fox News Sunday today. Specter went so far as to claim that her ruling in the Ricci case in favor of reverse discrimination, was very sound.

Reverse discrimination is rooted in Scottish law.

Pathetic to see Specter sell any prinicples he might have had down the river in pursuit of the Dem nomination, no?
This old, old jerk should just fade away gracefully, but he isn’t man enough to do it. He abandoned his principles years ago and obviously can’t find them.

How to tell if yer a racist.
1. Look into a mirror. If you are white, you are a racist.
2. If you are not white, you cannot be a racist, even though you may belong to a race only party LaRaza-Black mooseSlime.. etc.
The only cure for being a whitey racist is to vote D

So let me see if I have this correct... Discrimination is bad, but
reverse discrimination is good?
Why is that? Because, deep down, these people think "Hey, it's ok, they're white/Christian/male/straight/employed/legal... whatever?" Isn't that a form of racism, basically saying "Hey, whites et-al can take a little reverse discrimination, minorities et-al can't." Doesn't that imply the person in favor of reverse discrimination believes the whites et-al somehow superior to the others then?

If I spoke and behaved like Specter I’d quit in humiliation.
The problem is that he’s humiliating himself in this way because he’s scared to death that he won’t be a senator any longer, regardless of party or principles.
Much, much more than pathetic. It’s sickening.

If Spector truly believes in reverse discrimination, he should withdraw from his seat of power for the first, black, hispanic, gay or transgendered unicyclist to get enough signatures to be on the ballot.
But that would never happen in his perverted, power sick mind, because all Arlen ever gave a damn about was Arlen.

I'm a white female. I retired from the NY State prison system in 2003. In 1984, they gave a promotional exam for the position of Sergeant to all eligible correction officers. I passed the exam with a 92. Because not enough blacks or hispanics had passed the test, or gotten a high enough score to place in the upper percentile of the list, using Affirmative Action as a basis, the State gave extra points to those two minorities. With that action, many blacks and hispanics moved up the list, and were promoted long before their white counterparts, who had gotten the same score without receiving any special treatment.
With a 92, it took just about 5 years for me to finally be reached on the list. By the time I was promoted, I had 10 years in the department. NY State usually voids promotional lists five years after it is issued, which meant that many of the people who should have been promoted, were forced to take another exam. I always wondered what my real promotion date would have been had they simply promoted from the list without awarding extra points to minorities. I'm sure that along with myself, alot of other white officers got screwed out of seniority and salary because of it.

Don't you remember that Robert Reich said that the construction jobs created by the Porkulus package certainly wouldn't be going to white males? The only group that the PC crowd feels is open to discrimination is white males. I am married to a white male and I have a white male child. My son has already endured white male discrimination in his acceptances to colleges. Never mind. He got into his first choice. However, an affirmative action student from my son's high school got into every college to which he applied.
