Spy satellites have spotted signs that North Korea may be preparing to transport another long-range missile to a test launch site, South Korean officials said Saturday, as the U.S. defense secretary issued his harshest warning to the North since its recent nuclear test. "We will not stand idly by as North Korea builds the capability to wreak destruction on any target in Asia or on us," Secretary of Defense Robert Gates told a regional defense meeting in Singapore. He said the North's nuclear program was a "harbinger of a dark future," but wasn't yet a direct threat. Since last Monday's nuclear blast, North Korea has test-launched six short-range missiles in a show of force and announced it won't honor a 1953 truce ending fighting in the Korean War.

Just a odd observation...but all this missile firing...you have to wonder when the boys have fired all of their “good missiles”, and then they start getting to the ones of questionable quality...will they even bother to tell the dimwits at the top that they have mostly dud’s left?
I’ll be removing Nuclear detonation, treaty breaking and a half dozen missile launches off of my “direct threat” list.
Cool, my list is now down to him calling me a dirty name... and we launch.
Good Grief. Did someone forget to tell the North Koreans that Bush is no longer President...
Is this the NK version of BaaBaa Black Sheep?
And this time we really mean it!! Foot stomp!!
Ohhhh this is about NK rockettes instead of rockets ?

Wasn’t it just yesterday that he said Nork isn’t a threat?
..... Well, yes he did. But that was in YESTERDAY’s news cycle.
Obama and his administration apparently believe that they can practice international diplomacy with the same insouciant disregard for consistency that they exercised during the presidential campaign. Government as farce.
Gates say’s what Obama tells him to say, he will do what Obama tells him to do.
Kim has nothing to worry about from the US and he knows it.
Japanese photographers for certain (ahem!) weekly mass-circulation magazines catering to the average working man would have snapped that photo from about 3 meters lower of an angle.
They have been firing short range missiles, of which they have plenty, most of them, along with thousands of artillery, are aimed at Seoul. They are not "running out of good missiles". The ICBM they are apparently getting ready to fire is a long range missile capable of reaching Japan if they want to fire it off that direction and capable also of carrying a nuke if the nuke is small enough(size and weight wise)to lift. They are building those in Korea and they are bringing this latest one from the same place they brought the first ICBM they fired on April 5.
I think you should be thinking, "Good Grief: Someone told him Bush is no longer President!". Although Bush should have been tougher with N Korea, he was many times tougher than Bozo is. Kim mentally il knows that Bozo is a weak sister and he is testing him to the fullest, plus Kim is sick and dying and to top all that off, he is insane.
“The ICBM they are apparently getting ready to fire is a long range missile capable of reaching Japan”
I thought the other missile they recently launched went over Japan and landed in Pacific? Anyway, the biggest concern with an ICBM is its ability to reach western US, no? I mean, I like the Japanese people and everything, but Americans have a bad habit of not tending to threats until we are in the cross-hairs.
yes, it could also reach Hawaii and Alaska.
