McCain Endorsement Signals Importance of the Valley [also, McCain disses Palin again]
KFSN-TV ABC 30 HD Fresno, Calif. ^ | 2009-05-29

(snip)

We asked Sen. McCain if he saw Whitman as the future face of the Republican Party and he said "yes." He also mentioned three current governors as the next generation of leaders. Noticeably absent from that list was his former running mate, Sarah Palin.

He’s been one for a long time. Some of us let it go because he was marginally better than Obama (peace be upon him.)

There's another possibility, and that is that they've dumped their mother lode of venom on Palin. If she and her team wait until late 2010 to start overwriting the image the media created of her, she could come storming in, crushing all this crap under tread.

Also, no matter who conservatives pick, the left will Bork and Palinize. If we dump Palin and turn to someone new in 2011, they will have a fresh attack ready, that will still be fresh in 2012.

McCain's undeserved and grossly over sized ego simply couldn't accept the fact that Palin energized his campaign and brought more votes than McCain....

Palin simply wasn't enough to overcome the drag on the ticket that McCain represented...

McCain really needs to acknowledge that he has been the unwitting tool of the Media and the Left - and that he has ALWAYS placed his thirst for “media adoration” and power ABOVE that of the Republic he swore an oath to serve..

Of course - we've known for decades that oaths don't mean much to McCain....

There’s good news and bad news.
What’s the bad news?
Obama won.
What’s the good news?
McCain didn’t.

I know I don’t want the a**hat supporting or endorsing Palin! Whitman just got the kiss of death with his endorsement as far as I am concerned.

I agree. Actually that was the second thing he did that let me know he wasn’t serious about his White House aspirations. The first was his “suspending his campaign” and then voting to start bailing out the losers of our country for the first of many “crisis”.

He might not have been able to stop the first bailout from going on the books but he may have ignited many more Americans that stayed home because of McCain’s liberalism to get to the polls on Nov. 4 and vote for him.

Trusting God!

So, this is the guy Sarah busted her ass for day and night. McCain is a douche, screw him. I am glad he is not endorsing her, an endorsement from him is the kiss of death anyway. She doesn’t need that RINO loser who kisses the ass of Obama and others who hate Conservatives. McCain is the Republican version of Obama. So really there was no difference. And as far as Whitman goes, she has dissed Sarah too, so screw her I will not be voting for her either

People always talk about rising new talent. Why is Sarah Palin not included in this category?

Republicans or conservatives: what do you really want in a potential POTUS candidate in 2012:

1)charisma and the ability to attract voters

2)authenticity, eloquence and the ability to be cogent

3)the ability to attract and mobilize millions of volunteers in the GOTV and raise an unlimited amount of money

4)being strong on the 3 legs of the stool: fiscal, national defense and social

If you reject Sarah Palin you have no right to bemoan the fact that the GOP nominated a RINO again in 2012. Your support of Sarah Palin will ensure that a conservative will represent the GOP in 2012, not a RINO.

Exactly.

We need to stop accepting their premise that we need to nominate moderates and reach across the aisle.

They've been fighting a war against us for decades. Moderates do not understand this. Conservatives do.

It is time we engage in all-out war with the left in this country. We need to carry her on our shoulders and draw a line in the sand and, if they cross that line, knock them back. Hard.

Josa—you are exactly right. That was the final straw. the man in the crowd was right, and McCain recoiled in horror.

I had the same exact reaction you did—I said, Oh Sh#t, he just blew the whole thing!

Even the gift of Joe the Plumber he squandered.

As for Palin, I don’t count her out.

She’s coming back, and America loves a comeback kid.

She’s President No. 45.

The only question is which party’s candidate will she be—the GOP’s or the party that replaces the GOP.

What a disgusting little phony he is. He isn’t fit to carry Sarah palin’s dirty laundry bag. He despises her because before she became the V.P. candidate he couldn’t raise a dime. The little creep was jealous of her. He spent more energy attempting to destroy her than he did trying to win his election.

LOL. I dunno.
I think both are equally unexciting and liberal but Rosario was such an airhead!
Even with all of Meg’s bumbling, she doesn’t sound quite as vacuous.

Ford resented Reagan back in 1976. They looked down on the Reagan movement with a smug sense of superiority.

People remember the Reagan Presidency. Ford was only a footnote.

he has been the unwitting tool of the Media and the Left - and that he has ALWAYS placed his thirst for “media adoration”

Years ago while listening to Don Imus I kept wondering why he had this Senator McCain on so often. They'd yuk-it-up over some topic, Imus would tease Juan, and then finish with the 'respect-the-senator' end of conversation.

It happened so often I felt bad for the Senator as it seemed too obvious he 'needed' to be in the spotlight to suffer the jokes and abuse.[see also SNL appearances] What could be more liberal than 'feeling' you'd developed a rapport with media hot-shots and would/should get an even shake?

RINO at best, dem at worst. As someone suggested above, he ought to Spectre and spare us.

McCain has always been a Douche bag. Now he is just not really afraid to show how big he can get and the MSM is more than happy to help.
